  • Its only tucking under slightly...

  • Jesus! Patsy and Gwen's place is a chatgpt output from all the lfgss interior design threads.

Partially minded to put this image behind a NSFW link in case people make a mess of themselves.

  • Fuck me that is going to age badly

Also, is that a Nespresso machine? ANIMALS.

  • Idk if you've got a cohesive design language then it will always be timeless, even if not to everyone's taste.

    Eg

  • That is amazing.

  • But they will be dead by then.

  • It will be out of date by the time they've made that orange juice

  • Bunch of sour puss’s here! At least it was ever in date!

  • Dog: "looks like the Home Economics classroom"

  • Yes, it has a sensor attached which I tested and it works pretty good - hopefully also when the water rises!

  • Ditto; one of the more stressful weekends putting some up in a "who knows" 110 year old masonry wall

  • I like it, it’s modernised PoMo with the colour and the tiles are excellent. Some of the TMH stuff is just so dull.

  • sour

    I prefer salty 😘

Seriously tho, other than the terrazzo and office ceiling I like it.

I wonder how well the handles will hold up against grease.

  • It's always been a fashion game - but it's super-charged by the visual culture of the grid. Neo-pomo / interior as piece of graphic design - is having a moment right now for sure - in london at least.

  • Thinking of fixing the work of art that the plumber left behind… shall I use Toupret fibacryl to allow some movement for the pipes and layer it in the sections deeper that 1cm? Would a flexible filler react negatively to heat? Shall I just put expanding foam and a standard wall filler?

  • Some may remember the small seating area I made as a surprise for my partner. Just a small update - I restored the path to its original state with the help of my neighbour who is a professional cleanener; they gave me some chemicals to kill the moss and clean the concrete. I then pressure washed it back.

    Before

    After

    (Compared to the nextdoors uncleaned)

Much brighter and nice to see all the colours in the stones.

  • Patsy and Gwen's place is awesome.
Would be too much for me, I would tone down the textures a bit and invest in fun furniture instead.

Also that hello our house is a machine from the future picture from above?

  • Search "leaking stop tap"

Cheers for this! After how ever many years I've fixed my leaking outdoor tap.

  • This looks excellent ! Lovely little spot 👌

  • Bodged the new step for our deck together and installed it temporarily so I can get on and demolish the larger corner step which is going to interfere with powerline runs to the summerhouse.

was feeling a bit overwhelmed and fed up with the redecorating progress in the house so wanted a quick win that i could just get done.

eventually I'll dig a little deeper and run a path to the back door with gravel or bark chippings or something and line it with some lights.

had fun doing it until i had to hammer in the clout nails for the truss clips. not only was it noisy as fuck thus endearing me to all my new neighbour it probably took about 20 attempts per nail to get the fucker started with the hammer without it pinging off into the grass. that low, with a weird angle of approach and being left handed did not a good combination make.

  • p.s. laying in that hammock at the back when I was done with a half defrosted bottle of ice to sip on as it melted was probably the best I've felt in months.

  • Well done.

Remember this stuff is a marathon not a sprint.

Relax into building site living, and enjoy it.

Also be grateful you don't have to tidy everything up after every job to stop your kids playing with tools and building materials.

  • I need a 3/4 inch angled brush for metal paint (dulux metalshield) have primed in zinc chromate and the brush I have had been using is mullered after a few hours use and I don’t want to top coat with it.
It’s an Axis one from Brewers, do I really need to spend a small fortune on a Purdy or Harris brush that I’m never going to use again?

  • Nice brushes are nice. Turps etc is actually surprisingly good at washing out brushes though. Maybe even more effective than water based. Don’t need to chuck the brush really.
