  • Washing machines like to shimmy around when in operation. If its super tight it might start banging into the sides of the cupboard. Vibration foam may make it worse but it effectively will mean it it always touching and vibrate your whole house up. How much clearance have you got?

  • The glass and crockery will be a rattlin'

  • Always put a couple of bricks in with the laundry, the mass wil help keep the machine steady.

  • Denser is better - takes up less laundry room. A steel ball would be better than a brick for e.g.

  • At least he'll know when the washing's done.

  • There is enough clearance for the hinges as the front of the machine(s) is not square.
Overall there is about 3cm each side maybe I’ll wait on the foam.

Slightly different topic washing machine feed pipe in the kitchen is slightly wider gauge than dishwasher does this matter or can I just keep the washing machine feed in place for ease?

  • The bearings are going on my 16yo washer and im expecting it to start doing this soon 😂

  • excellent schematic, glad you remembered the forum-approved annotations

  • I mean. I don't see anything external. Could it be the drainpipe?

  • Wait until it rains and take a look at the pipe again.

Which room has the damp in your place ?

  • Bedroom ?

If there's a child in there, I'd contact the council and tell them about it.

  • It’s a balcony/ rain water pipe.
Where is the damp patch in relation to this?

  • Drainpipe, too narrow to be a soil pipe/stack

  • The grey pipe doesn’t look like a waste pipe. So drainpipe would be my thoughts

    Gee not even second

  • About 4 bricks to the left of the window, roughly. Round about where that white patch of salt on the bricks is....

So. Guess who'll be trying to get upstairs to look at the balcony of both those flats.

At least as it's not soil stack, it shouldn't be too gross up there. Guessing either a blockage in the pipe, blockage on the drain, and the shitty filing around the pipe is leaking.
Might check next door see if they have any problems with damp patch too.

I think out of the 4 houses there is one council tenant. The bottom two are private, the one above me is council, top left dunno.

    What to do until Monday?
    Dehumidifier?
    Sausages?

  • Spotters Neighbour would be well up for it.

  • Yeah! A drone.

  • On a serious note I think dehumidifier will draw moisture through so maybe not the best option.
