Ah, the other side of the question is, and not too pricey. Amazon has shedloads of Chinese ones around the £15-£20 mark, not sure if they're any good and anything specifically any good.

GMs 120 rings a bell. Can#t be arsed to google.
Stuff from china, not a clue. Cheap enough to be disposable if shit. Or if you get it wrong....

Seems a great shame to dispose of the bits, are there any charities that could use it?

What's the spacing between the two inlets? I'll have that If it matches our tub.
And the sashlocks too.

Not always possible to set them up and occasionally the cheaper circular saws have a wobble at the bearings which of course messes with accuracy. Id say it's a decent site/hobby table saw but half of the battle is using it properly.

In the bad old days we used to just add a bit of concentrated ochre tint to the pot.

They are only part of the answer in any case, even a 'good' one will give you odd readings in some walls. Wiring should be less of a problem these days as part P has been around for a while, studs you can find by knocking and some people use little neodiddleum (sic) magnets to find the nails/screws then work it out from there. I use a bore inspection camera a lot for the more complicated stuff, you usually find a small way in or make one if you have to. Pipes are what you need to look out for, those bastards can really mess your day up.

Also, all that parquet is going in the bin unless someone wants it, and that'll be a real shame - it's 90 years old, proper parquet, none of this engineered tongue in groove bollocks. Bitumen and proud!

Ha, I was saying to my girlfriend last night that wires should only run at right angles to then discover one heading diagonally across the ceiling ...

What's the square footage of the parquet?

Does anyone know the spec for this screw on a blum hinge (84.355-0BA)?
I removed the doors (without realising they click on/off) and put the screws in a safe place. Pictures online seem to be just a pan head screw but i vaguely remember them being more special, hence the reason for the safe place.

Yes, ceilings are a bit of an exception. It's unusual for it to be truly diagonal because of the joists in most houses.

Is blum fittings Ikea cupboards?
-
• #13693
I'm not sure. These are from some built in wardrobes.

advice please:
we have a wooden kitchen worktop (I know) and it's in especially bad condition near the tap/sink area.
New kitchen is on the cards in a few years, but is there a good solution for the time being? Anyone got any contacts that could come by sand the entire thing, add filler, and seal with something to make it look good and stay watertight?

Where can I get tiny quantities of black tile grout from? Just need a bit to fill in a gap between two tiles and don't really want to get a 5kg bag just for that.
Alternatively, I have some white grout from a previous project knocking about. Would putting that on and coloring it in black to match the rest be an awful idea?

Blum have offered to send my a replacement hinge as they don't stock spares for them.
