Interested to hear what specs are listed for this kind of item. What is important to the purchaser of a spanking paddle? Weight? Length? Ergonomics? Rebound damping? Vertical stiffness and lateral compliance? Are there surface specific paddles?

You think? Although it's hardwood it's only ~10mm thick. Not at all heavy.

The overall face is probably a touch big, depending on target.

Oh... if it's only that thin and a lot lighter than I would've guessed then yeah... should be more stingy.

Apologies for not having read the whole thread, but is there anyone here that does wood turning? I have a small project in mind that will require a bit of turned wood (well two bits actually) and I'd like to chat to someone who knows what they are doing to work out if it is actually practical to do (I think it is obviously).
