Ortlieb make padded camera inserts for their handlebar bags.

After using a homemade one for a bit (rough around the edges but sound enough) I’ve moved to a PS bag works drawcord style bag. The zippered opening is rather small so it’s hard to find things, which is made worse by the jacket or some such you’ll want to put in there to stop things from bouncing around.

Any suggestions or ideas that I've missed?
Seriously beefed up quad lock kinda thing?

I have an Ortlieb Ultimate 6 bar bag for my tourer - considering pairing it with one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KT7GJGS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
I think the BYOB 9 should fit snuggly inside the bar bag.

Looking for racks for my wife's Surly ECR (XS size, 29+ version) - front for Wald basket not blocking access to triple fork mounts and rear for either small panniers and/or drybag on top (no space for seatbag at all). So far I found Surly 8-Pack and Pelago Rasket (but not sure if Pelago will clear 29x3.0 tyre) for front and Tubus Vega 29 for rear - any other recommendations?

Is some of it not great? I'm thinking about getting a Racktime Add-It rack as it's less than half the price of the Tubus Logo.

No idea.
I really liked my front rack with the nice light integration, and the snapit system seems great. If the same people make them as tubus they have to be good.
I would buy Racktime for utility/city bikes that get abuse and Tubus for touring bikes that get treated well.
Racktime is Alu, cheaper, I guess made in asia and has that snapit thing.
Tubus is steel, more expensive (they make a titanium rack) probably still made in Germany and has no funny stuff like snapit. -

Thanks for that explanation. I hadn't actually realised the materials differ when I was looking last night.
The snap-it stuff would be handy for my town bike, but this rack is destined for my Croix de Fer, which might see a bit more milage from touring etc with just panniers.

Yours? What frame is that? Looks very tidy.

I wish. It is a Mosaic. I don't know who made the bags.

Rear racks.
How do you size them up so they're not towering over the rear wheel?
I'd like it to sit just over the rear mudguard.
How? -

It's easier with the manufacturers that publish the full dimensions, or if you buy one that has adjustable legs near the drop outs. I prefer a solid design, and just bought a Tubus Logo Evo that sits closer to the wheel that my previous Tortec Ultralight did on the basis of the 370mm height. The horizontal bar for my pannier is even lower, which I like.

Are they on the buyers end of the spectrum of pricing?

from bike24, I am about to order, we can club it to save shipping but you will have to take it from me in SE6

What do you need (apart from £20 and p+p)?
Does anyone own one of those Road Runner Burrito Bags or Ornot handlebar bags? If so, what do you make of them?
