The GC contenders will stop off on Alpe D'Huez for a party with some drunken Dutch people and Cav will prob win the stage in a sprint with Voigt.

Evans and Voeckler, well done, but they were at least paced to the bottom of the last climb.

What a ride by Andy Schleck. Apart from the valley bottom with Monfort he rode that all by himself. That kind of riding deserves yellow.

So ITV4 are checking out. Where do I go to see what's what with the sprinter's group etc'? (an online time list etc).

more drama tomorrow then.. on telegraphe / galibier / alpe d'huez it doesn't get better than that..

Decidedly dangerous descents.

Mmh. Steep mountains and all that. What with bendy roads and... erm, downhil gradients. Although, having descended Galibier in rain, with numb hands and no brakes to speak of, it can get pretty ahem, dangerous down there.

I hate to say it but I think Tommy will be a busted flush now. Can't believe the strength of Evans through these stages. He's been mighty. Could he even win tomorrow?

Descending Galibier from that side might be a little dodgy but from the Col de Lautaret to Alp d'Huez it's child's play (apart from tunnels when you don't have any lights and there are big lorries around). Long old descent too so plenty of time to make up any lost time
