  • Again does anyone know if you can use these "rod brakes" with a more modern rim, I have them on a triumph and would like to keep them on the bike but the wheels on it are KO'd, anyone got good tips for cleaning 80 odd year old paint, not going to powdercoat the baby but may lacquer it to protect it a bit.

Yeah I know there's threads regarding this.

  • ^ Wood spoks and a magnesium saddle

  • sending you an offer - this would be awesome for l'eroica -Pm'ed....

  • Good luck doing l'eroica on that!

  • Brilliant :) I am pretty sure you will get plenty of chatter about the bike!

  • one of my friends from this year did it on a very similar raleigh but his was a two speed flip flop. the full 205km in 11hours 30mins

more importantly back in 2008 he had a major mechanical and his stem snapped - we bodged it together with toestraps and twigs and he' road 80km back and beat us home! (yorkshire machine)

  • ^Thanks for the heads up on the westwoods, think I'm sorted on that front now

  • There was one of these (without gears, but with a natty front light) propped up outside Monmouth this morning.

What would you take for this?

  • If no one is interested on here, slip it on ebay.
It is all relevant to the target audience who don't seem to be on here.

    Yep, deep south indeed.
Just above the South Pole to be exact.

Folks seem to be love dissing on the asking price, but the same could be said for the prices paid for NJS/ Keirin frames because they are current trend, no?"

Are you from the deep south, just sounds like y'all from Tennessee or sumtin'?
