Hmmmmmm, how much were you thinking @Technics100 ? I could be up for that because I’ve got some old spares in the loft.
I think you’re right with Grasshopper 2 but it’s a mid 90s one if it’s the same age as the radio. That’s a later style Techniplus, not the older battleship grey one from the 80s.

Drove this thing today, was good but I’m rubbish. Binned it a few times into various playground obstacles including my son.

I looked at the body and it says 1988 on it.. Not sure what it's worth, £60-P&P??

Initial test run complete. Ground was a little moist, so stuck to tarmac and concrete (local skatepark). Steering is spot on, very sharp, the Savox servo is rather quick, may take some practice to get used to it's responsiveness. I now appreciate the use of tyre glue, so that's my next job, glueing the tyres on (threw a rear off the wheel).
Can't wait for the ground to dry out and the council to cut the grass in the park, much fun will be had. -

Nice mate, glueing is pretty easy tbh and worthwhile.
You can slow down the steering rate on most transmitters, make it slower at the start which takes the jitters out.
On the grass/Astro lower cst shock oil comes into play Over the uneven surface

Yeah, it's not so much jittery, just fookin sharp, coming from a cheap analogue servo to the Savox is quite something, regards oil, I think I just prefer slightly "stiffer" set ups, don't mind a bit of bump steer/chatter when the ground gets drier and slightly bumpier, maybe that'll change though if I find a track near to me. I really like the levels of tinkering/fettling that can be done to the TRF over the DT02.

Anyone have any interest in this? Appears to be working.. although I just had to bodge the accelerator servo as the wee plastic thing is broken. Radio gear works.. is it a 1988 Grasshopper II..
