    How's your finger?

  • kept me up all night, ended up piercing it and letting the blood flow. It's not broken, but it is painful, can i see how it is tomorrow? Now way i can grip a mallet today. Otters Emmet, that ok with you?

  • p.s. well done heythrop for sticking in there. It takes guts to be as fresh as you guys and get in on the league, with people who have been playing 3years longer than you. Keep going to beginners polo for experience and please please change your gears. Even the most experienced player wouldn't be able to play on those G.I.

  • =/ hope it gets better soon B, have you strapped it up to a good finger? Even if it's not broken it's probably a good idea to keep it supported and not moving too much.

  • Heythrop, thanks for coming down to play at such short notice.
Brendan, get it checked out and heal up!
also, what with all the back-and-forthing, i rode 27.5 miles yesterday. fact.

  • +1 on Heythrop.
B priority always goes to well being.
Josh and others, thanks for giving more care to my possessions than I obviously do.

  • p.s. well done heythrop for sticking in there.

    +1

  • So I was talking with a number of people last night about the playoffs, and there seemed to be unanimous opinion that we can't continue our current structure and slow pace for fixtures: one fixture release every two weeks, meaning that (since we have five games each in the playoffs), league will not be finished for 10 weeks after the playoffs begin.

The following alternative seemed to appeal to everyone there last night:

Teams will automatically know which other teams they have to play. The top 3 in each division will all play each other, and likewise for the middle three and bottom three. Let's simply give a deadline of when the playoffs need to be finished (say, five or six weeks) and let the teams figure out when they can play each other.

    Thoughts?
