C*nt of the day LS58 FKX

Coming home this afternoon a twat in a Range Rover turns left across my path without indicating. I shouted, he stopped as I was forced into taking the left turn.

I say "you just turned left across my path without even indicating"

His response "fuck off you should have known what I was doing"

Me "fuck you, you did not indicate and turned across me"

He proceeded to get out of the car, I tried to get away but he punched me and winded me.

Luckily it was a busy junction, so loads of people saw the indicent. A lovely woman called the police and another person stepped up as witness, and he is a prison officer.

Also the registration number is correct for a black range rover.

A lorry did the same to me this morning. I anticipated his turn and stopped. I then cycled on my way. I was not punched.

Hark at her. Glad you are not too injured. Nasty thing to happen but think on this dear boy, you are getting into a lot of altercations and are determined to show everyone how right you are. Perhaps the sanctimony belongs to you. You were thumped and winded this time. That is not nice nor something that anyone would want to see happen. Next time the driver might be a real nutter and the result could be far worse. For your own sake and for the sake of those that care about you, stop being so santimonious about bad drivers and start looking after yourself.

I suppose in this situation, if they said you should know what he's going to do, ask him 'HOW', constantly says that until they realise there's no way you could've known, or the best solution is to ignore him (as in keep your mouth shut, smile and wave) and carry on riding (if there's no incident that has occured).

In one sense it's good what happened today as this guy will get in trouble and you are not seriously hurt but you have to be very careful being all brave, and if you act all brave you need to back it up somehow. Glad it turned out all ok and you're not hurt.

I, for one, think you either wittingly or unwittingly put yourself in positions that have potential to cause you harm and to some degree I'm surprised this hasn't happened to you sooner [I don't condone his behaviour or gain any kind of self satisfaction in the incident] but it does show a massive lack of awareness to presume that some nutter isn't going to escalate your confrontations to a level you can't handle
