Poll 5.2 (How many Euro spots should be allocated by league standings)

Guys, this poll finishes in 2 days. Cancelling it now would mean that people could call any other poll into question.

The time to raise these concerns was before the original polls started over a week ago.

Additionally the poll is massively favourable of just the top place. As such it isn't even a contentious issue.

This poll really should stand.

I agree with Object, we can't just cancel the poll because a few people don't like it.

I totally take Gabes point about missing all the debates, I was away for 5 days, and it's all a little bewildering, but on the other hand, we have to start the league soon, so we need to get all this stuff out of the way asap. People could always give their votes away to be used as proxies.

We can vote on whether this vote should stand, which is obviously a little ridiculous, but I would rather that than cancel the poll. Seems more democratic.

I think we should be able to cancel anything and re-vote on anything we want. The league is us. It's a bit tedious and cumbersome, but that's the way it is. Especially with a vote that has no impact on the start date (which is the most pressing issue).

As much as i don't want any Euros placing decided by the league, i think that once the vote is set up, the voting should be accepted as the final decision.

Hey guys, I'm with you that it's annoying to re-vote. But we are in no hurry to get this vote done. There's no urgency.

That said, I hear Em when he says this isn't a contentious vote, one place hopefully won't turn out contentious when we know how many places London will get. I just don't really get the point in voting now.

Anyway, the big picture is that it doesn't really matter to me, so whatever. :-)

We have already voted by default that at least the league winners will get a place at the Euros.

How will it be biased?

Because people who are near the top will vote for more places, and people near the bottom will vote for less.

Now obviously we all know which teams are likely to qualify, but in theory any team can still get those places at this point in time.

For once, lets actually learn from the disagreements we had last year. Decide the league rules, rewards, penalties, etc, before we start. Then dont fuck with them unless we have to.
