Well am up for the return, at the moment as it will be good practice.
The 80's geared is looking less likely as its been stripped and cleaned but there are a few bits I'm not happy/sure about.

I doubt it'll take 7hr riding (I'd be worried if I had slowed down that much in the last few weeks) but considering the numerous stops that occur on most forum rides maybe 7hrs is pushing it for the total time?

yeah, bit of a fuck up there yossarian but don't sweat it dude.
had a quick G with pisti last night and we discussed arrival time. i reckon with all the stops then some time between 3 & 4.
all, please note - we are planning a proper stop eat a sandwich have a fag style stop at the top of turners hill. there will be other regroup stops along the way but these are for regrouping and then getting going straight away. **no getting out the picnic blankets at the regroup points. ** will stick up the cheat sheet which will include gmap route later today

from haywards heath to the bottom of ditchling pretty much every brighton ride i've ever done the wind has been full on in the face so that you are left in tatters to tackle the climb. best of luck then .....

Alan, 74. Never been to Brigton. No issues with wind. Will walk up Ditschling.

I've just booked returning train tickets via the southern website (to force myself & flatmate to turn up) the advance fair is £7.50. Cheaper ( I think) but not as flexible [timewise] as the group save
