I really love that it is so shaded but different spots get intense sun at different times of day.
Not to be underestimated.
I love the amount of sun our garden gets, but finding shade in the middle of the day is tough.

On the bonsai chat.
The reason for leaving in the ground for now is twofold
- I want it to get bigger so leaving it put is better.
- I don't have the free time to source a pot, move, care, etc.
The downside is that I risk killing it when I do end up moving it.
- I want it to get bigger so leaving it put is better.

Lovely, our yellow is out too and it looks like the purple is close behind. Amazing what a hot spell has done for our garden.
Both our acers have produced teeny helicopter seeds in great colours.

Two observations:
1) I love this thread.
2) If you'd told me when I joined LFGSS that a) there would end being a gardening thread and b) that I'd love it....
Funny old world innit?

So looks like we have a saged leave rock rose- I was confused by the flowers being dumped at 6pm and then reappearing the next day but turns out that’s how it works. Funny

Pleased with how this raised bed is settling in - went away for a week and it the hostas exploded.
Bare root climbing roses are coming along nicely further down the wall.

I had a rogue poppy pop up the other week. There's load waiting in the wildflower patch but it's a fair bit off blooming yet.

Thank you! Honestly, the pics I've put up show pretty much the whole garden, it really is tiny. I sacrificed a lawn to fit in more plants. In my head it's a tiny section of a bigger garden, so it's sort of large scale in a small space of you see what I mean. I'll take a couple of general shots today.

Lovely! Is that honesty behind? I love honesty, it remind me of my parents' garden when I was a kid. I want to putting some in but I probably don't have space for it without losing something else :(

It's Dames Rocket (I think!) It's in a little section that I planted some wildflowers in a couple of years ago and have left alone to go wild since. I get all sorts popping up in there!

peonies
Finally got my OH to agree that we can cut them all off and have them in the house.
Every year they get destroyed by the rain after they open up.

Also too small to photo, but the two funkiest of my ferns that I thought hadn't made it have tiny little shoots poking through. Looks like they might make it.
Photos of what they should look like
