  • He learned/stole that from Jan Legrand and GODV

    I have all reason to doubt that. In fact an easy way to distinguish a Legrand built Presto from a Serier one, is the absence of the cap-ridges on the Legrand Presto. Of course Legrand did apply the ridges on the frames he built for the TI Raleigh team, as the frames had to look like the SB number frames for customers.

    The Campa groupset on the green Presto has a nice feature you not see so often btw: the 'Portacattaneo'

    The right shifter has a little lever hidden at the back of it (1st pic). When you lift it the shifter engages in a lower step, shifting the chain onto the little plate fitted to frame (2nd pic). The idea is that with wheel removed the chain sits still tensioned.

    I really like discussing the Presto on and on, but I started the thread because I were offering a Duell. The pink/babyblue TSX under the pic link can also be had.

    I though they were very typical in touring/randonnees bicycle, don't think I've seen them on road bike before.
