That's so nice!

At least 400g lighter and feels a lot more comfortable. Only got a single ride before the cable guide broke, so no real ground for a real comparison.
Thank you, HoKe.

Does anyone know if there are ever any opportunities to test ride Canyon bikes in the UK?
I plan on getting a new bike in the next 4 months and the Aeroad is on my shortlist, but it's the only one that isn't sold in shops and I'm reluctant to spend that much money on a bike before I try it out. Do people here just order without trying? This question may have been raised before on this thread - apologies if I missed it.

Find a 2nd hand canyon that is for sale and test ride it.

Thanks but I'd feel a bit cheeky doing that as I'd intend to buy a new one direct from Canyon.

Understandable

Same here, but over 5 years. Smashed a fork in a crash and had a replacement sent out very quickly. No other issues

Great bike, Captain_P .

If you're in London, their UK office is in Kingston, and I think they usually have some bikes there so you can at least gauge the sizes

Thanks for this. I didn't know they had a UK office. I'll look them up and send them an email.

Very very lovely, and I don't usually like white contact points. Are they fulcrum wheels of some kind?

While I'm here - my modest aluminium thingy.
Apologies for the shitty instagram pic. Bit too lazy for proper photos of my bikes.Slowly acetoning most of the logos off, but not looking forward to tackling the mass of paint on the underside of the downtube..

Anyone knows what bb tool remover is need for the ultimate cf slx model? I need to access my battery that is currently lose in the down tube but don't know what size is required to remove the press fit bb.
-
• #841
What bb standard is it?
-
• #842
I'm not too sure, I'm pretty new at this BB game tbh, on canyon's website its a Hollowtech II, which a bit of research I think it's the bb71.
-
• #843
As I understand it, the key measurement on the press fit bb removal tool is the diameter of the crank axle, either 24 mm or 30 mm. You need to get the right one otherwise it won't fit.

Its BB86 I believe:

Reinstalling requires a press like http://www.parktool.com/product/bearing-cup-press-hhp-2

So turns out i need a 140mm stem, preferably with -17degree but -10 or even -6 is also alright. Is it possible to find anything like that for a 1" 1/4 fork?
Zipp, Ritchey and Giant doesn't offer one.
-
• #847
bigger frame? or 130 stem and some longer reach handlebars?
-
• #848
If you are screwed, then a bar with 10mm longer reach than your current - or move the saddle back 10mm #gipsybikefit

• #849
Saw a sweet matt black Canyon in Forest Gate yesterday, something something Cann road? Rider covered in smart black, white and green Rapha

Just got a bike fit (Yes yes yes, stupid AFTER getting parts for the bike...) so the saddle stays. Right now i think it'll be a 130mm Ritchey and a Zipp bar with 87,5mm reach instead of my current 120mm Ritchey/FSA 80mm reach.
@roadwarrior, then i'll just sit too high.
How different it is to the dale?
