I'd never trust you with a bike after you sold the Talbot.
Oh - ps - only mount on the fork is on the underside of the crown and no removable brake bridge.

• #2806
But but you sold the Talbot! And the Moots. Worst of all you sold the Vivalo :(

I've never owned a Moots. I must make a table of all of the bikes I've had since joining this forum. I think the bikes I am most fond of that I really remember loving were the Dave Hinde and the Surly Pacer I had. Ironically, my first two proper road bikes.

Looks like a fun bike

Better now. These Oracle Ridge’s are real tasty. Completely changed the feel of the bike. Worth every (discounted) penny.

Very nice.
Waiting for your SPD pedals/shoes to arrive?

If anyone is interested. https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/383052/

Lol - yes. Time Atac’s and Lake’s on the way. Much needed. The insane amount of rain California has seen this month has downed loads of trees and washed out lots of trails so road shoes are not the vibe.

Here's my Ultimate CF Movistar colourway with Campag Chorus groupset & Mavic cosmics. Timely as i've just bought an Ultimate SLX frameset that needs some TLC! Time to go down the rabbit warren of 1-1/4 steerers again...

If you're looking for a 42cm x 80mm h31 cockpit I will have one for you very reasonably priced for you in a few weeks...

• #2818
Cheers! I bought one from @thebaldingbuddha this morning, but do get in touch just in case I need another...

Yeah. They subbed out the saddle (doesn’t matter, put my own on) and the cranks due to parts shortages on the lower end specs. Tbh, not even that mad at them, I don’t think they’re any better or worse looking than GRX cranks. And 200g lighter…

How are you getting on with the EVO?
I’m debating treating myself to either an SLX or CFR in either Aeroad or Ultimate for my birthday.
Currently have an SL ultimate with Etap 11 hrd. -

Yep

so no point talking sense then
although .. I had Emonda SL and SLR, zero diff, all homeopathic and few grams.

Yeah I think colourway would be the deciding factor lolz
Not sure an Aeroad is as future/ back proof.Which makes it all feel rather extravagant when I like the current one.

CSB alert.
I tried to buy an aeroad CF SL on c2w. My work only let us apply for c2w in June and December. I applied in June and it was forever out of stock.
All of a sudden in December stock arrived and I managed to put an order in, however a couple of months back Canyon put the price up £200.
Tried to confirm the purchase, Canyon wouldn’t let me make up the £200 and my work also did a computer says no and wouldn’t adjust the amount I’d requested by the £200 either. (At this point I hadn’t signed the c2w agreement, just agreed the loan with my company so no reason for them not to adjust).
In the end I cancelled my c2w loan, which I’m getting refunded this month, but then about a week or so ago, Canyon dropped the price back down!!!!!
I’ve not actually cancelled the order, but I can’t do c2w again until June. I’m not sure it would have been the right move anyway so may have been a good thing.
Thanks for listening.
