I have yet to make it to a drinks night, but I've met some of you now so it's not quite as intimidating... and I live in SE5 so I'm in for this.

Had my first meeting with Fiddy at a previous incarnation of the South Drinks Xmas meal. Sat next to him and I believe gave him my parsnips.

Sadly its my work xmas do that night.... I don't get anything off 'em the rest of the year, so I need to capitalise on the one night of free booze.

Spread the word folks; I need to confirm to Steve at the pub on Monday, that it will be a usual sell out fun fest, as they are looking to give us the room free of charge, given our Monday night patronage during the rest of the year.

Steve has confirmed that we can have the upstairs room for a Christmas Party on Friday, 17th December.

Digger kindly agreed to sort out a disco set, and I think he will be speaking to the usual suspects, to organise a play list. If you are interested in joining in, please let him know.

I had notions of a bring and share buffet, but wonder how practical this will be on a chilly night, days before the holidays. I am thinking we will have enough to do, organising ourselves and bikes on a winters night, but again if anyone has any strong views either way, happy to hear them.

Late afternoon, so I've got no chance. It's probably for the best as if it was one day later I'd have a blinding hangover and 30 hours of travel. Not pleasant.

Good point about the location of this thread. I have made reference to it in the "Guinness #4" thread, and will put a marker on the main Saafs drinks thread, so all those used to Monday nonsense, can also be aware.

Spread the word, people. Many dip into the forum, when the racing and main ride season is passed, so letting them know would be appreciated.
