  • easy tiger.
I reckon its gonna be amazing, and working there is going to be like all things you really want in life--a labour of love.

Imagine, a summers eve, the warm sun setting, and we can just rock up there because we will be working, and knoww the timetable.
a few lazy spins and then some head to head racing with a mate, getting charged up for a few laps before some delicious drinks, a slow roll home on another lovely summers eve,

fuck me where am I was I dreaming .......?

  • up from dorset, why are you trying to make Rob's sensible points sound like they are some kind of attack and if we are talking about experience I have more than anyone on this forum of tracks in general and a track which is run as an open to the public space and which at most times is pretty unusable because of it!

  • it wont be unusable,
because the times when it open to the public will be limited to small windows of time each day,
the rest of the time we hope to get groups on it, the point hes making is that people are very quick to say how stuff wont work, without offering any positive advice.

  • oh, Joe,
    trust you.

  • I try not to make negative predictions about stuff I know nothing about other than what I got off of an internet forum.

Then you have mistaken me for some internet tough guy, instead of someone who actually knows what he's talking about.

As *m.f knows, I am happy to give advice and share my experience in matters relating to the running of a Velodrome and associated coaching sessions.

  • And I am happy to continue posting 'amusing' pictures...

Srsly tho' guys, looks like it's gonna be great little track...

  • And I am happy to continue posting 'amusing' pictures...

    "continue" ?

  • I think I've covered that, Robert...

  • ^ Come on, that's well 'amusing'...

  • alol for me

  • I've been merged... :P

  • a thread about a cycling track becomes a thread about dogs with sunglassses on their arses, it could only be LFGSS
seriously do, when the website goes live everyone can have their tuppenceworth,
until then its boxers all the way

  • Hopefully, this will attatch properly.
If it does, apologies for the picture quality. It was taken on a crap phone, standing on tip toe to get over the harris fencing. Love the 'atmospheric' mist.

  • J, that looks ridable - Get your 29er out

  • Yeah, could've save a few £0000000 on diggers if they'd just got a load of MTBers to ride around in a corcle till they'd built up a big enough berm.

  • yeah they would have bolted to the pub before it got finished though.

  • Is there gonna be a grand opening race? or similar?

  • there is a youth spring Omnium planned for 21st May.
watch the website for official announcements from B.C.C

  • yea, i saw that. Plus there's a madison meeting the day after that's part of the endurance league right? should be a laugh
