Is the skate park staying at Slades Farm? That place was awesome!

But Reading is about 10 degrees, compared to Herne Hill which is more or less the same length and appropriately banked at 30 degrees. While the ideal for 250 outdoors would be 40 degrees or so, 30 won't be a big problem.
I getcha. It doesn't look too costly either, if it's successful it would be a great blueprint for more of these to pop up around the country.
Track cycling is so popular now that we need to take the heat off our current facilities.

I couldn't remember where this was but I've still been telling people about it, I'm very excited, west country visits?

Indeed. And shake the current attitude that if it isn't indoor, made of wood and costing many millions then it isn't worth building. A good chunk of our current national squad found the sport through grass track!

Yeah, I used to go down to Bournemouth BMX , can be done in under 2 hours, nearer than Newps and not much different than the distance to Calshot.

yep, shouldnt affect the track unless it suddenly becomes fashionable to ride tracks on BMX's
Skate park at Kings Park gets packed, they come from all along the trainline to pokesdown to get on it.
Slades Farm is 20 Minutes ride from Bomo station, very close to the University campus. -

Knew this was happening because someone's organising a race there next years that's part of the youth omnium series (also now gonna be a round at hh). Plans look well good, banking not really a problem, if steep we got another good racing track, if less steep better for beginers/kids and even if it was pan flat would be better than the likes of brighton and porstmouth, its oval!

I enjoy racing more than reading too. But judging by the winter training thread many feel the opposite.

I live in Wimborne and have been wanting a velodrome for years and just as I go to Uni in London this pops up. Ah well, still looks exciting, I spend all my time shooting my friends BMX at the local skateparks or out in the hills doing downhill on my mountainbike so this should be fun.

Sprinters* can *read, but we prefer to look at the pictures.
