  • If you're interested in them we can come to an arrangement, I won't be using them I doubt

  • I'm not sure my clearances are tight enough to warrant the cut out, alright to give it a try some day?

  • Yeah of course

  • Nice, thanks. Bring it to work one day? I can pop round and nab it. No rush!

  • Will do

  • I need some too. A friend has just got some of these: http://www.freshtripe.co.uk/Freshtripe/Mudguards%20%26%20Racks.html which look good. Not too much more than your standard SKS etc either

  • Just links to the mudguard section I'm afraid, was a bit worried when £170 mudguards showed up!

  • Ha, the polished £45 ones.

was a bit worried when £170 mudguards showed up

    ...if Rapha did mudguards....

  • .if Rapha did mudguards....

    Would rep

  • Building new bikes to look like rats can >>>>>>>>>>
Although that does look damn good.

  • I've got a major hankering for a silly Planet X crabon tarck frame...

Am I bit heavy for it?!

  • I don't think there's a weight issue with carbon track frames is there?

Reasoning being if they're good enough for Gregory Bauge, Robert Forstermann et al, they're good enough for anyone?

  • I guess so, I'm about 105kg though which is pretty heavy and when I train hard I tend to gain weight rather than lose it!

  • Who knows then! Only one way to find out...

  • I don't think they're trying to make it look rat (admittedly I haven't read the article), they've just clear coated it, they've been doin that with bmx frames for a decade.

You are a bit of a beast, Chris! I've never read anything about weight issues though, I'm sure you'll be fine

  • Yeah that Mash is a collaboration with Colombus - so they clearcoated them to show the framebuilding work, yada yada yada.

  • Haha! Thanks I think!

  • I have lights!!!!

Me with lights and a brake, whatever next?!

  • You build and ride a bike for 3 months without changing or upgrading it...
    ;-)

  • Didn't realise that was possible?!

  • On the Genesis I need to order a new wheel set, change the bars to drops, tighten the chain, change brake pads and buy and fit some new mudguards.
On the Plug I need to get a new front fork, fit mudguards, put new bar tape on.
On the Colnago I need to get and change the bars, fix puncture.
    All bikes need lights fitted.

You need more slackz in your life.

  • What lights did you get? I got my Lezyne Macro in the post yesterday and it's an absolute beast - they're still £37 on pedal-pedal.co.uk if anyone fancies a bargain/burnt retinas.

  • Went for this one http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cateye/volt-100-rapid-x-rechargeable-light-set-ec068278

But I must admit I did pay 1p more for it from the DH!

@jdp I'm massively impatient and always tempted by shiny toys so I never end up keeping stuff for long!

  • Blimey, 30hrs flashing pisses all over the Lezyne.
