I have often suggested at work that we should hire a guy named Dick Wang or rename an existent member of staff for that very reason.

A bloke riding/wobbling his bike out on to the slippery streets of West Wickham today actually made me gasp out loud.

He was wearing nothing but a pair of summer shorts, t-shirt, flimsy shoes (canvas pumps or flip flops - the shock clearly affected my memory) and the finishing touch - a knitted bobble hat.

I sincerely hope he was just ducking out for a paper. Any further and he'd start to resemble an Australian snowman.
