  • I ignore 99.9% of the time. And just roll on. It really is not in my nature.

Just this morning I cracked.. No more. No less. I'm not perfect and never will be. If I see the guy again I'll apologise.. It was, of course, wrong. Very wrong.

Sorry , i mis read your post. He yelled out at you first.

    You were in the right.

If he had not said anything to you and got on with his ride then he wouldnt have taken a kidney shot and you wouldnt be feeling bad for your actions.

  • Lulz.

  • You don't want to make me angry...

  • Where's that video of those cyclists fighting?

  • Yeah, Brave was clearly taking a kicking when he was on the left.

  • It was more to do with the tan.

  • Just this morning I cracked.

Everybody has bad days. Even supremely laid back dudes like me. No real damage caused ( maybe some possible internal bleeding ) :-/

Nobody really knows how they'll react in a confrontation, so learn from it & don't keep replaying the scenario over in your head. It's not going to change now.

Despite any jokey references I might make, using violence when not in the defence of ones self ( or another ) is never a good thing.

Now everybody just chill, before I give you all a good kicking ;-)

  • I'm blaming my inner chimp for hijacking my emotions.

  • Inner bonobo more like.

  • You names goes on the list

  • We should compare lists, it might be more efficient if we split off those who appear on both.

You ( probably do ) know there's a book for that now ;-)

  • Yep.

  • Brave used to be in the animal biz. he probably did a segue on it between VT's

  • Not sure if I'm calling out myself, or the other cyclist here, but here goes:

Arriving at work yesterday I find that all of the Sheffield stands on the street are occupied, and one person has thought to put one of those tarp-type covers over their bike, meaning no-one can use the other side of it. Have a wee grumble with the other cyclist who's arrived at the same time as me, while we lock up to the other side of the remaining racks. Probably someone living in the halls of residence nearby.

Today, it's still there, and there are no other spots left. Tarp removed enough to lock my bike up. On the off-chance that Mr/Ms tarp-owner is reading - it's public parking. If you can't share, keep your bike inside!

I do sometimes wonder if I'm on the road to turning into a grumpy old git. I bet this is how Banshee Woman got started....

  • At a guess, they won't have any way of keeping their bike inside and this is why they kept it outside.

you just had Meat rage... if I spend to long here some fucker will eat my Bodeans

    Bam! Straight to the liver!

  • repped

I do understand - my bike can't come into my office, which is why it's outside. It's just annoying when there's limited onstreet parking, and a lot of demand, and someone hogs both sides of a stand that can fit two bikes.

Just hoping they haven't vandalised my bike in the meantime, or it'll only escalate to kidney-punching.

  • Liver, protected by ribs, would punch their front, typically one access point, though larger organ.
Kidneys, not so protected by ribs, punch to back, two access points - left or right, more readily accessable. Hurts like hell.

Correct but you catch someone in the liver and its goodnight. I train MMA and have been hit there so i know.
