Everybody here is at a lower skill level than the sum of the skills of the whole membership, and we all need help at some time.

Well, we're stuck on this little chunk of rock spinning through space for a while, and since there's nothing but death at the end of it the only good thing a human can do is to be good at being human. The great leap forward for we hairless apes was the ability to record, preserve and transmit information both between our peers and to those who follow in our footsteps. Putting these two things together with the limits which prevent any individual from discovering everything of worth for himself from first principles, it follows that the rational path is to share knowledge, partly to give freely of the things we have discovered for ourselves, but much more to listen to what others have learnt which we can use for our own self improvement and ultimately pass on in our turn.
How ironic, given your scorn for the generous spirit which this forum shows in sharing its accumulated knowledge, that you should have chosen the screen name of "empty cans", since it has been said by our elders for generations that it is the empty vessel which makes most noise. Step back and fill yourself with knowledge, it's the gift that keeps on giving.
enjoy being all high and might dont cha :) is it making feal good?

Re cycle training, the point has been repeatedly made that experienced cyclists can benefit from it. You are only 19 and seem to believe there is nothin you can learn, either you are wise beyond your age or too stupid to realise how ignorant you may well be.

ok i guess people here have a lower skill level of using the terrian and the bike to there advantage, and the skill level of treeting a fellow bike rider as an equal

There are people here twice your age who can kick your arse on any bike on any terrain over any distance. Rather sportingly, every one of them will tell you how to catch up if you let them.

We are not all equal. Though different people have their own strengths and weaknesses.
You seem to be a very damaged persona, crying out for help and then throwing it back at us. Time for therapy?

From this thread alone it is clear.
You still have not understood that cycle training has been suggested to help you get more enjoyment from your bike and be safer too. Your own description of what you do makes it clear that you do some dangerous and foolish things on your bike out of frustration and not knowing any better. Though thus probably applies in many areas of you life.

You should be aiming to mix with your superiors, not your equals.

Empty Cans,
At 19, you may feel you know enough about life insofar, but trust me, soon you'll realise you don't as you get older.
We've gave you enough advice, yet you seemed to think we're patronising you.
Stop thinkin that everyone is out to get you and start realising that they're doing quite the opposite, especially with the English (using build-in spellcheck and checking before you press 'submit' etc.).

I'm never surprised by the amount of shit cyclists out there, the old cliches stand:
Barclays bike riders - give em room as most of em are new to Londons roads, and scare the shit outta me with the sheer variety of wrongdoings.
Hi Viz Wobbler - often too careful for their own good, obey the law at all times out of fear of doing wrong. Includes always cycling up to behind where the bus is stopped then swinging out without checking for bikes. Give em room.
Hi Viz Superstar - So fast you wont catch them, except when they stop at the next set of lights. Good riders generally, but annoy the shit out of me with their amazingly expensive bikes and good gear, put hastily on after work. I'd give a lot to wear your clothes. I'd give em room if I could see em first.
Mr 'Go Go Go' - Often spotted screaming full on down Clerkenwell Rd past the foemer Duke of York, ignoring pregnant women on the zebra crossing and racing anyone around them. I tried to give one room as I stopped for a pint and he took me out at about 30mph - CUNT! my wrist still hurts you bastard, and you had brakes and still couldn't stop. Give em room before they put you in one, or worse, underground.
Me - sometimes too fast, sometimes waay too slow and hungover. Stupidly running every light going (to my cost, sadly £30 down so far guess I'm lucky really) in order to deliver on time. Changing lanes and generally anoying motorists and pedestrians (sorry) Er, gimme a bit of room, I might need to fall over.

I've always found the advantage of my Hi Viz it seems to give drivers something to aim at....

This one will be hard to beat.
Cycling home this evening on Bayswater Road, saw something odd, a bike with a derailleur but no rear brake. This guy had taken a road bike, removed the brake/gear levers and fitted a crosstop lever. Riding around with flat pedals, epically failing at attempting to look like an ultra-cool fixie skidder.

I think empty cans is gone, but the person behind empty cans isn't gone....
http://www.lfgss.com/member19832.html
keeps trying to sell his TT bike in different threads (which he got from the cycle place he was volunteering in, which he mentioned before), with a link to his flickr:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesphotographicness/sets/72157624578763788/
bikes seem to match up to the bikes he said he owned, questionable spelling, joined right about the time empty cans left....
