  • A3 Kingston Road - Southbound, just before Roehampton Lane @4:30pm, to the nodder lemming, in his high vis, no lights, on a white hybrid who on Saturday decided to go from the pavement and across x3 lanes before the lights - you need to thank my reaction times, that I was well within the speed limit, modern abs braking and new tyres for avoiding you from perishing on the spot. What does it take to cross at the lights or cross safely.... some f*cking intelligence

  • Courier (couldn't see the company name on the bag) RLJ-ing at junction of Museum St. - New Oxford Street and nearly T-boning a female cyclist in the process. Douche!

  • He's a courier, as long as hes jumping lights at 30 mph in a silly cap its allowed isnt it?

As a subset of cyclists are couriers more or less attentive to the rules of the road?

  • Doph!

    Should that be "Doh!"?

Is this the thread for calling out bad typists?

Can you misspell an onomatopoeic word?

Does it read like the sound?

    Does "Doh" sound like "Doph"?

    Then Fuck You

No, doesn't sound as if it was Dov. ;)

  • Either you were too close or she was an orangutan

    This

  • No all those ninjas out there this morning and tonight. Get some fucking lights.

  • @ the young lady on Lambeth Rd this morning who saw fit to undertake me when I was waiting at the Zebra crossing whilst a mum child were crossing and then swerve around them, then express her surprise & go on to argue the toss...feel the shame....although clearly you thought your actions were perfectly reasonable

  • What was her justification for going through the crossing when there were people on it?

  • some proper rudebwoi on his hybrid with no lights riding down tooley street/jamaica road/lower road last night leapfrogging traffic by rolling through every single junction on red (and I really did hit every fucking red #fml) undertaking and cutting up everything on the road to get through.

first at the jamaica road/tanner street junction he cuts around the queing traffic by riding down the wrong side of the bus lane approaching the junction then into and across the junction still on the wrong side of the road, only pulling across before the metal barrier divides the two sides on the other side of the road.

at the junction of jamaica road/abbey street he was approaching from behind me when something happened as he tried to ride through the traffic stopping for the light, I think he clipped a motorbike rider as he was trying to get through who shouted the equivalent of Red! at him, rudebwoi gets startled, wobbles into a weird skid 6 foot over the stop line turns round and starts shouting expletives and telling the motorbike rider that HE nearly caused an accident. the motorbike rider not wanting to get into anything quite rightly rides off as soon as the lights change leaving rudebwoi standing in the middle of the road facing the oncoming traffic. ha.

rudebwoi then continues his undertaking, cutting up and general fuck-wittedness until he turns off lower road onto the surrey quays RD jumping the red and cutting up a bus who was turning from the other side of the road.

    complete fucking liability.

  • Bad news/Good news:

Made a bad move across Russell Square this a.m. where I jumped the lights from the north end going west to east (closed to traffic atm) as I didn't think they'd change and sort of cut up a normal looking chap on an old racer when the lights changed with me halfway through the junction. Felt bad, I apologised. If I were him I would have called me out. We can all have bad moments I suppose...

Howeve I got undertaken approaching Blackfriars junction/bridge on Friday night, the bastard. Caught up with him on the bridge and very politely explained that undertaking was dangerous and I didn't think it was a wise idea. I just stared at me and I let him ride off. About 50ft down he sort of half-yelled something back, but it was well ineffectual and I just felt sorry for him for not being able to 'produce' on the spot. Ha.

  • What's 'normal looking'?

  • I dunno, unremarkable? Lots of earthtones? Can I edit that to say 'someone's reasonable white Dad'?

  • What's 'normal looking'?

    Not funny lookin

  • I don't like broadcasting negativity like this but i really need to get this off my chest. Apologies if i lower your mood:

Should I have said something to the irascible cunt who intentionally rode into a teenage girl leading her little sister by the hand across a road in Covent Garden last night?
Yes they jaywalked but the cyclist had more than enough time to stop. As it happened, he slowed to a crawl and gently steered into the girl – he had to turn very slightly to the left to do so.
I'm certain this was intentional and done as a statement of sorts.
She looked pretty shocked, and more so by his "wake the fuck up" outburst at her.
It was his swearing and muttering as he rode away that convinced me to keep my mouth shut.
His utility bike/commuter gear may have ben expensive but he is obviously a damaged and bitter cunt who would only respond badly to an admonishment.
I can't help thinking that he wouldn’t have behaved the same way if it had been me or someone similar to me crossing that road.
Fucking bully, I've never wished harm on another cyclist but I hope something horrible happens to you.

  • You should have cycled past him and kicked him off?

    Is this acceptable behaviour?

Dont do this is small towns.

  • You should have cycled past him and kicked him off?

    Is this acceptable behaviour?

Dont do this is small towns.

    No it isn't.

  • Fair enough. Would it have been acceptable for the girl in question to have kicked him off?

  • No. But her little sister should have clotheslined the bolshy shitbag.

  • The old " he just cycled into my outstretched arm" officer?

  • What was her justification for going through the crossing when there were people on it?

That she hadn't hit them & they were in her way !

What was more worrying, is that she seemed a nice normal person - just couldn't grasp cycling through a zebra crossing with a mother & young child on it wasn't the done thing..... London etc, etc

  • ^^Yeh... I was yawning / pointing / flicking my sleeve off my watch...

  • Yes they jaywalked

No, they didn't. There is no such thing in this country. The cyclist's actions are utterly reprehensible. What an arsehole.

  • Jaywalking = Crossing the road
