  • The irony being that these children were being taught Bikeability, the new, and ugly, name for cycling proficiency.

  • He might have been thinking "go where the children have been, not where they are heading", which would be an entirely sensible way of approaching a hazard.

  • Choosing to ride within one foot of children, either in front or behind, is not sensible.

  • this reminds me of something i witnessed. I was behind the cyclist and they proceeded to move into the parking bay a car was reversing into, to undertake. (Luckily!?) he just bumped her. Duh.

  • To be honest, neither is asking a group of children to stand in the road.

  • To be equally honest, you're talking out of your arse.

  • It's a clever arse.

  • So has anyone suggested they stop for a few seconds as they cross?

  • I didn't even know BQ could cross his buttocks.

  • My buttocks have hidden talents.

Hidden under rolls of lard, I'll warrant, but hidden nontheless.

We need to set ChainBreaker on him, he probably needs a (tight) hug.>

    I'd suggest a chain tug...

Female cyclist this morning on Borough High Street decided to copy two male cyclists and, albeit more slowly, follow them down a narrow gap between a bus and a van. The lights go to green, the bus moves off and a metal clip jutting out from the rear of the bus, at the side catches the woman's pannier and down she goes.

She was lucky she didn't end up under the wheels of either the bus or another vehicle. I just kmt and cycled off. Another cyclist stopped to check she was ok.

What was wrong with staying behind the bus, woman?>

You didn't know? cyclists have teh right to get to the front of every queue cos they haz bike.

  • Setting new standards in "draw someone else's near-miss" posts.

    Needs moar dogshit though.

  • To the two cyclist on London Bridge this morning, who pulled out of the bus lane and into the oncoming big tipper trucks lane, with not a check of the shoulder or an indication of any sort. Good job the truck driver had backed off a little, else you both would be statistics. Shocking

  • An interesting few laps of regents last night when guys start bad mouthing each other telling each other to Fuck Off, throwing insults and then the, 'come on then' gets put out there! Stay classy boys, its not a race. more a case of bad attitude than bad cycling.

  • ^ I've always wanted to see fisticuffs in cycle shoes. I'd imagine it would be toplel.

  • top comment- "and no damage was dealt that day"

  • Delivers.

    Moar needed.

  • True story. Many years ago (mid 1970s) when I'd just started riding I was in a club run going up Lea Bridge Road (I won't name the club but it wasn't an Eagle run). Our group got badly cut up by a decorator in a mini van. The driver knew what he was doing and offered a few verbals.

The group caught the mini van at the next set of traffic lights. The road was pretty empty. They dismounted (about 10 of them) and lifted the mini onto it's side. Then they got back on their bikes and rode away. I was too scared to join in but made a hasty exit!

  • Very rude recumbent pilot cutting me across opposite Angel station this morning

  • That same guy from de ver jumping all the lights in norbury.

  • True idiocy at 1.35 today at the intersection of Graham road and Mare street hackney.

A future patient dressed in black leisure wear, on a black fixie, wafting like the last blowfly of summer on the wrong side of the road and through the red lights.

At the last minute this idiot decides to turn right into Graham road, across the path of a tipper lorry of the kind that has already killed today. Not content with the illegality/stupidity of this manoeuvre, he then wobbled around the front right bumper of this truck as it hit the brakes & horn, and oblivious to the chaos he'd created, rode away.

If you're here, I'd like the chance to say face to face; go kill yourself in the traffic... Except in no-way does the wider world deserve the trauma of witnessing your macerated carcass in the front wheel arches of a lorry.

Someone should take your shitty bike off you, cut it up with an angle-grinder, and force you to eat it.

  • Junction of Hackney Road and Queensbridge Road this morning, an undertaking cycle hirer had to slam on the brakes at the very last second to avoid being squished by a left turning cement lorry.

I acted like a bit of a sanctimonious twat when I caught him at the next set of lights, but I think he needed to be told because I was scared witless witnessing it.
