That's fascinating. It not only reveals the effect that serious anonymous abuse can have on someone but also the numbing effect of points of separation provided by virtual interaction. The lad must however have been less naive in reality of the horrendous nature of his actions. He was - regardless of the aforementioned numbness - being a very nasty little shitbox. When does trolling stop being trolling (BCR style shit stirring and dead horse flogging, centre of attention stuff) and simply fall into the category of a little prick being a bully or worse? Dickheads were dickheads before t'internet. Some folks are just nobs.

In the old days kids used to write 'Mandy is a slag' etc on bark benches. This is just an escalation of that kind of childish behaviour but with very serious consequences
