ooft, cheers, dodged the bullet there, meant to put that in the BDSM thread!
On another note, having checked the hubs the front is 36h NJS and the rear is 32h (.....no NJS). The forks are undrilled and I've no intentions of splitting 'er up.

Alright I'll have a stab at it then; £400
Consisting of;
F&F, BB, H/S (150)
Wheelset, cogs, tires ect, (150)
Cranks&c'ring (80)
Various other bits and bobs & postage making it up to 400, seems reasonable enough? -

Anyone have an idea how much Suzue (jnr) hubs on Araya ADX-510 rims should be? The wheelset comes with a DA 16t cog and lockring. Apparently they're off a GT track...
The only info I've found on the rims is here http://www.alexscycle.com/vintage-nos/nos-araya-adx-510-super-anodized-clincher-rim.html saying that NOS cost a shitload.
Can try and get some photos if it helps, but was thinking around the £150 mark?

500-600 gn
Could definitely ask for more and not be too cheeky.
-
• #514
Take the delats off and sell them seperately.
could be looking at around 800 if you did this.

A friend has won a Land Rover branded carbon road bike in a photography competition and is keen for a guesstimate as to what it's worth.

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself first, im Louis, 17 from norwich and im currently a student at the moment. I've always had a thing for bikes, went through the bmx phase, have a nice Giant xc MTB i like to get out on from time to time, but i think the time has come for me to get a single speed road bike. As the is my first bike im just looking for some advice. Being a bit short of cash as a student ive been browsing for a reasonably good priced bike for a while and have come across this
brand new weinmann dp18 ultimate power wheels (sealed bearings) flip flop hub
brand new sturmey archer cranks with sealed bottom bracket
tioga tyres
raleigh frame and fork
custom stem
brand new fit bikes seat and seat post
brand new odyssey twisted plastic pedalsThe bike is offered at 200 pounds but he said he would take a good offer, does this seem like a reasonable deal, as i have no experience in the road bike scene. I know i'm knew to the forum and haven't contributed much myself yet but i really don't want to miss out on this as i've been looking for a while and have finally found something i like and i would really appreciate some advice.
Thanks, Louis

it's too big.
(probably)
-
• #518
I reckon you could get something better, with a bit of patience for £200...
-
• #519
Yeah that looks like a massive frame. Clearly too big for whoever is selling it. How tall are you? That looks like a bike for someone of about 6'3" plus.
-
• #520
likely to be a cheap heavy frame under the fresh paint
-
• #521
Alright thanks for the advice, being approximately 5.10-5.11ft i guess this will be to big. I asked the seller what height he suggested was good for this bike as i thought it looked big but he said it was for those about 5.10.
But thanks for saving me trip to Grimsby from Norwich, i guess my search continues!
Thanks - Louis

Also flat pedals and one brake. Always an interesting combination.
The forum has saved you from Grimsby. Be very thankful.

Thanks!

Louis - have a look here: http://www.lfgss.com/forum38.html
Norwich branch of the forum. There is nothing for sale at the moment but there is a Norwich Classified section where bikes come up now and again.

This is half the price and looks much nicer. Even with a train to london would probably be cheaper
If it's 32h, it's not NJS, if it's NJS, it's 36h..
