That Philippe is the business (for me) fillet brazing yum.
I've a Clement Ritmo tubular from an early 80s bike, in very good condition bit of wear on logo but doesn't seem to have been repaired and holds air. No good to me as I only got one, and need hardcore puncture proofing where I am, but maybe it can make somebody happy. But, what is a fair price? Can't find much historical e-bay data.

The buying process was a pain in the ass and now that I finally got it, I spent the money on an another bike waiting for this frame to arrive. I don't have money to buy parts that this frame deserves, would it be worth more than £200-250? It's a Paul Donohue track frame, 853 steel.

Hey Guys,
I picked this up a while back and I'm really not getting a chance to use it at all so thinking about letting it go to somebody who will get more enjoyment from it. Problem is I have no idea how much it might be worth - can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Paddy

Here's a previous eBay sale: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Carlton-Flyer-/251134100336?ViewItem=&clk_rvr_id=485512462415&ssPageName=ADME%3AB%3AEOIBSA%3AGB%3A3160&item=251134100336&nma=true&si=GKRkSTWVo6Xd4J6N%252FxGg%252FPp4WWY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Not the best comparison but might give you a rough idea.
If you are thinking of finding the year of your bike, this might help: http://www.carltoncycles.me.uk/details/dating.htm

I'd say at least £200, i wouldn't mind paying £250 for it

Hi guys
Need answers and advice about a bike I'll eventually be selling for a friend.
She picked up (for free at some boot sale!) This lovely red ladies Ernie Clements Falcon. Frame 531 Reynolds Tubing, still has the sticker and decals (see pics)
The bike is complete, all original parts. The striking thing about this one (for me anyway) is the colour, even though it has a few paint chips, and a couple of superficial rust spots, the pain job is lovely, this gorgeous mattish red... i don't think the pictures do it justice.
Anyway... i just wanted to ask advice, about dating it, the parts it's on and what i should reasonably ask for when i eventually sell it.
This is what i could identify:
Frame: "Designed by Ernie Clements" Reynolds 531 tubing, fork is half chrome.
Not sure how to size ladies frames but i measured from middle of BB to the top of the seat tube and it's just over 53cm. And i measured from middle of stem to middle seat tube/ seat post and it's like 53/54 something like that.
I looked under the BB shell. Found the frame number stamped on but it's a bit obscured/ chipped. This is what i could get:
G05528 or 605528 not sure which...
'Chair' hubs, made in japan.
Weinmann Rims.
Sugino Maxy Chainset.
Weinmann leavers/ brakes.
SR stem.
ITM bars.
Shimano Altus rear derailleurs.
It's says "strong" on seatpost..Saddle is a big springy thing. one of those mattress like ones...Selle Royale. Made in Italy.
Can't really identify tyres. Will look more closely bit later. Will try post more pics.
I'd appreciate more info/ advice for how much i should sell and anything else that's relevant. Cheers.

I have a moda forte track bike frame, bought in october 2012. bought the whole bike for 800gbp. i didnt like the white color of the bike so its been resprayed yellow. how much do you think the frame alone is worth?
also i have the american classic 420 aero that came with it, also resprayed, black. i'm thinking of keeping those, very light and strong. they go for 500 new.

How can we post some pictures of Mysterious or unknown bikes here?

C-record chorus hubs laced to open 4cd's with fairly light wear to breaking surfaces? They're pre-freehub, just, which is annoying as they fall between modern-ish and vintage. Still a nice wheelset though. No idea at all as to value.

how much do you think a pair of early roval wheels can go for?
-
• #1267
Could do with a nicer freewheel ^ nice looking wheelset tho
-
• #1268
No idea, but I'm interested if it's cheap.

freewheel is coming off! it's a real nice wheelset but i won't have a 1st gen laser (the one with the recessed rear brake) that takes these wheels, i think i'll let them go..
Alfie, what do you consider cheap? i can accept 151bcd campag chainring as part of payment :)

Hi all, my question is. I have two lovely r33 frame and forks that i would like to sell due to arthritis problems . They are both like new and not ridden too much when i was riding. No more than 1000 miles each. New price £2400.
I was looking for £900 each. Do you guys and gals think that this is a little pricey for this web site. Thanks in advance., Robhttp://waterfordbikes.com/w/ -

guys, ild like your advice on pricing this little thing:
once the intented gf mobile but that gf is out of the window and the current knows not about this one and i want to liquidate it before she gets to know its existence because the plane tickets (eindhoven, nl <-> lausanne, ch) back n forth are expensive enough, let alone treating yourself to a beverage or food in swiss francs. gaspforair
its a 87/88 alan, 52x53, quite tired cosmetically with scrapes and scratches of which the heaviest is on top of the tt. would come with shimano 600 headset and bb which need some new grease. also campag nr seatpost is included, seatpost itself is still quite nice, but the clamps are quite corroded. anyways, pics say a 1000 words and here is the link i illusion myself you will massively click:
thanks in advance, cheers!
