Having a birthday this close to Christmas is basically rubbish: although it often falls on the Solstice, which is handy for pulling Goths and Hippies...
With the score at Baby Jesus 44 - 0 Scilly Suffolk, I dug deep and got up at the same time I would have been coming home at in previous years and threw this together.
Several cups of the deeply refreshing and a dash of spanner-magic later, I was dishing out the hurt on the autobahns of the East.
Baby Jesus 44 - 1 Scilly Suffolk.

Thanks!
Ellis Briggs, Ishiwata 017 "Record Breaker", Jack Briggs Snr came out of retirement to build it for the wife of the Yorks. CTT secretary in 1990.
Need a bit more seatpost; keep having to push myself back on the saddle; shoulders feel a bit hunched.

Great little bit of history to go with it too. Did you remove the decals, remember seeing this in Current Projects?
-
• #1606
Yeah: one owner from new!
The first thing Briggs Jnr said was "it's been re-sprayed, those aren't our decals".
They were just vinyl cut-outs stuck on the top of the paint; some were a bit wrinkled and I'm firmly in the "less is more" school.
I have a horrible feeling that the seller had it re-sprayed to sell: quite rough in places.

Got it NOS off Ebay for something like £12.
It's a PITA fishing small boys and household pets out of the teeth though...

Nothing to do with the fact that the saddle nosed down extremely?

56 ??? need disk, ISM Adamo,3spoke, bottle cage on bars, nitto66...

Zing!
You're quite right Ed; I started off with the saddle slightly nose-down, but stopped to move it back and now realise I managed to drop the nose even further (shouldn't have stopped on a slope).
I'll try a Brooks and see if that sorts it...

maybe more that the saddle is too far back when leaning on the shelf ?

Disc: Zipp 1150/950 or Comete.Tri-spoke: too modern? Definitely too expensive for me.
Nitto 66: yes; tried the "Gaston" method, but not enough depression with this post.
Adamo: ugly, but maybe...

Quite possibly, but I felt the "lip" wasn't helping.I have something flatter to try together with a longer post.

I've been moving my position around on the faux and had similar issues with slide.
I think I have finally found a happy medium, that said there is now f all drop.

what's the thinking behind those cranks? Aero?
mhd

PMP cranks, intended to overcome the deadspot in the stroke.
I suppose you can judge their success by the number of L-shaped cranks currently on the market...
