  • that is the one

  • There seems to be an orange and a red super high density.
This was Taxi's warning in the other thread.
How does one tell the difference online?

    I know...

The website says red for super high density and orange for high density... I'll confirm with the guy first...

  • I've just re-confirmed (again!) we want the red and not the orange balls...

  • OK... The fella wants to know how many balls we might need for the UK (and he's asking about Europe too) in the next year... Ballpark figure... I guess he wants to get a load of stock in... Should I say 500 balls for all of Europe? That enough for you lot?

  • Say 1,000... 10,000 even... if he ends up with overstock we get cheaper balls in the future?!

  • 1,000! Really? OK...

  • 1000 is fine, he is a stocklist, he can run with the risk

  • Done...

  • An average of two new cities are registering a bike polo scene each week, get 1,000,000 balls and become the sole stockist for Europe in no time!

  • i don't think thats the right ball...its not the same red.
and it looks like they come in medium.

  • ha

  • The LHBPA is in the process of ordering a shit-ton of balls. Word from Roxy is that we may pull the trigger on this tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned.

  • Joe Vs Roxy, a race agaisnt time... tic tac tic tac

  • Cool, I'll hold off then... Just heard back from a distro in the Czech Republic too... Well cheap...

High density balls with paper wraping (the same as on your picture) cost 1,40eur. actually 300 pieces in stock
High density balls without wraping (same size and weight) cost 1,20eur. actually 2800 pieces in stock
Transportation costs arent included in our selling price.

  • Whoa, holy shit Joe, that is cheap. Can you confirm that you have a quote for Super High Density Franklin balls for 1.20eur per ball?

We are buying direct from the factory, and they are coming in at around £3 per ball.

  • Nope... Turns out those ^ are orange high density and not the red supers...

  • We were about ready to buy 216 red Franklins and 144 oranges. That was some time ago that we came up with this division between red and orange. Now that I think about it, however, I wonder if we even want any oranges.

Do we want oranges for winter? The current distribution (216/144) is 60/40 red/orange.

Can we get opinions here on what distribution of balls the Association should stock?

  • I know Rik said red only, but I think it gets too cold for reds in the winter and that we prefer to have some orange ones. Thoughts?

  • Nope... Turns out those ^ are orange high density and not the red supers...

They cannot get any red super high density ones at all, but they can get the orange ones at the stated price? Are they Franklins?

  • Oranges seem to be easier to get hold of via regular channels, but reds are like hen's teeth. I can't see there'd be much harm in getting a few orange balls, but doubt 144 would be needed.

  • yeah, we'll need orange for winter other wise we'll have cracked all the reds by the time summer comes around again
