  • Well some of the stadium bikes are old and difficult to maintain, the volunteers do their very best but with up to 120 people each weekend demanding hire bikes it takes it's toll!

Good riding today by those of you that came, is the guy on the fuji track comp here? your saddle is a tad too high.

Im just being fussy, not really complaining. Cant fault them given the circumstances.

  • I have to say he is a miserable so and so. He is also old enough and paid fuck all enough that he has every right to be as miserable as he wants.

AND the most miserable I have seen him was trying to get people out of the place to get it locked up - and I bet you anything that 75% of the people on here would be ruder and more miserable if they were trying to leave work but couldn't because the customers refused to leave 15 minutes after they were asked to.

I used to work in one bar and that ^^ was me.

  • I don't think he is so bad, just seems to get a bit stressed with all he has to manage, remember and organise. Looked like a brilliant morning for it.

  • Can someone please explain how despite going flat out for the best part of two hours, it is my arms that ache today and not my legs

  • Your saddle's probably too high... ;P

  • by the way, good to see a few familiar faces, you know who you are. where the hell did you go after brixton, i filtered through the traffic, stopped just past the lights and you lot had disappeared... coldharbour lane? i backtracked, went down acre lane and came back via clapham north / A3, not the best route but so long as you are putting in the miles...

hah, there was a minor 'incident' on brixton road involving some northies who aren't used to riding in the deep south. You'd shot off, we headed off towards stockwell for a tour of South London...

Good day at the track though, I had lots of fun. I was rather glad to get off the bike after the last couple of laps, however.

let's be correct here. I am an Eastie, not a Northie. And when a car decides to try and ram me while in stationary traffic, there's not much I can do about it.
Your "scenic" route was definitely that, not nearly as boring as the straight line we rode down from tower bridge.
That said, I really want to get on the track more. Like every week, until they stop for the winter.
