All this gay badinage is not getting me any closer to finding my Peugeot computer now is it?

Yes, Brave, thank you, you are quite right of course. Something about the Greeks though... somehow more noble, intellectual and dignified than the Romans I always feel
Not much on the economic front though are they..

Thanks DFP, these look like good ideas but I am too old for a Smartphone - I use a Nokia E71 which I don't think can do these apps. Anyway, I am really after the old Peugeot computer to match the bike plus it is not too complex for me to read (and the numbers are nice and big - good for old people like to read)

Tell us again why we should do you a favour?
Rutless efficiency.
In fairness you now look abit silly - being 53 you should probably be old enough to realise you should think twice before you speak, or this case type, as you now look like a juvenile trying to wiggle your way out a hole.

It will do all of those things, if you get an iPhone:
but android is cheaper and arguably better
Will a Smartphone measure my speed, elapsed time, pedalling cadence etc or just make me even more attractive to women?

Rutless? I am confused now.
At my age, I can remember a time before gay meant anything more than carefree, possessed of a love of life etc, if that is trying my way out of a hole then I am guilty.
Clark Gable's character in the last film he made was called Gaylord - Gay for short. It was a fairly popular christian name for men when I was young in the US. Think we all need to be a bit more open-minded - PC has gone a bit crazy in some areas... -

I had one of these rather primitive computers on my 1980 PKN10E before it was stolen (see http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67267&highlight=stolen+recovered for the full story).
Mine was silver with black buttons but I cannot be fussy now...
Would really like another one, they were probably Velotech KS2 computers (it said Made in Hong Kong on the back!) re-badged by or for Peugeot. I still have the original sliver and chequered box for mine, and the instructions (I bought it from a bike shop on ebay NOS a few years ago). Someone must have an old (or even new) one lying about in their cellar/shed?Bump please
In a roundabout way, yes.
