Great news...
I worked on Great Portland St for 3 yrs and was a regular customer - bought my IRO from you guys originally too— but the lack of stock did drive me away as you rarely had anything I actually needed. Which is sad as you guys were always really friendly and helpful... and mechanical work always good and reasonably priced.
Will be back to check you out when I'm next in town— would much rather support you than Evans or cycle surgery..

No Ho..?
Ho denied!!!
Good luck with the new venture. I don't relly have a pet bike shop for decent stuff, so you've got as much chance as anyone in the middle of town of securing my (meagre) business. I'd rather shop with an independant than a chain and much prefer shopping somewhere that I like the people.
So did you say you're changing address, or just painting a new name above the same shop? Either way, I'll drop in sometime when I'm next passing.

Don't get up your way much these days, but always liked your shop. Good luck with taking it over!

Glad to hear it! Haven't been in for a while but Cavendish always seemed to be one of the most proficient bike shops in town.
I remember battling for hours with a crappy plastic bottom bracket cup on a mates bike which had cracked and seized in the frame... a few other shops turned us away but Cavendish were happy to get the blow torch out and melt the f*cker out. Great service.

Excellent news. Cavendish was my LBS when I used to live on Great Titchfield Street, but was always a bit hit-and-miss stockwise. Brilliant to hear that it's getting a revamp under committed ownership, and always good to see the correct name for he area getting an outing. Best of luck, chaps!
