Cloppenburg?
Been there a couple of times. Even been in the hospital after a crash in a night criterium.
Still doesn't look like the most develloped bike company in the world. -

I thought no one from here visited the big bad BR.
and it is also posted in 2 other areas of BR as every one is so Cliquey and dont look any where else ;)

Have a look at the linkbacks on the OTP and the Locks That Work threads.
I put a lot of effort, and loads of hours into those, and Velocio appreciates it.
Its the forum that benefits, in many ways. Some people find them useful. Oh, only a few thousands or so.
Well have a medal!
I just find your attitude at the moment to be like some sort of self appointed forum policeman, when a lot of what you post is worse that the stuff you are criticising, especially the amount of misinformation you post as fact about bikes, when in reality your technical knowledge is not what you think it is
I know many people find the lists annoying as people do useful - you are in no position to tell people what they can upload, and how they should behave on here, when you have spent most of the past couple of weeks coming across as a bully

Please lock and nuke this thread. He's admitted to multi-posting it on BR and coming here because we don't look over there. We don't let people do that on eBay auctions and classified, why should we let it slip with some bullshit, badly photographed trip to a factory full of nothing interesting.
Why do you care so much about making EVERYONE WHO LIKES BIKES AND FORUMS EVER see this?
No-one cares about clean, mass produced mountain bikes, they'll be in every Evans next season.
Worst. Thread. Ever.

I shall definitely address this.

I wish I knew what you were talking about. What misinformation do I post about bikes? And if I am corrected, don't I straight away acknowledge that?
I know many people find the lists annoying
The big question here is WHY does anyone find the lists "annoying"? The lists are inanimate, so should not annoy people. And no-one is forced to read them. They're a resource. I worry about people that complain on other's people's behalfs about a resource on the internet....which are all very easily ignored.
you are in no position to tell people what they can upload, and how they should behave on here, when you have spent most of the past couple of weeks coming across as a bully
I have opinions. What do you suggest, that I no longer have opinions? You would rather I just exist quietly, out-of-sight-out-of-mind sort of thing? As for the bullying allegation, I will address that, certainly. If that is how I am perceived. Then I can certainly alter that behaviour. I will pose my observations in a different way, and hope that people like you, and Gregorio, feel happier. I won't feel happier, as people are obviously trying to quieten me, and I'm not a quiet character.
But, I will certainly promise you this, that I will view anyone that seeks to quieten me, in the same way as I would be expected to.

Erm, that sounds a bit like a threat. I can definitely see why people think you're being a bully and a bit forum police.
As to having used my name to defend yourself, please don't. I do like the lists in so much that any content created that serves to help and support the community is a good thing. But not more or less than that, I barely use them myself but they are useful references and do help reduce a number of silly questions the community might be asked by newbs.

Can't people just not look at the thread if it annoys them?
How do you get to go on these trips? do you need to work in th bike trade? I wanna go.

• #136
And how is thread anymore picture heavy or irrelevant on a bike forum to the list of favourite movie characters?

A threat, really? My "view" of people that publicly try to quieter me, is of contempt, and unbridled disgust. It's a private view (not any longer obviously), and being a view or thought, it doesn't threaten.......unless someone could feel put out by what I happen to be thinking.
Using your name to defend myself - lesson learned. Never again.
And how is thread anymore picture heavy or irrelevant on a bike forum to the list of favourite movie characters?
If one person provides all the pictures, wouldn't that be different to many people contributing their images? I don't know anymore. I am giving up.
EDIT:
I have taken all comments on board, and shall act on changing certain things. It makes me very unhappy, but it may be all for the better. In fact, I'm certain of it.I can be often irascible, but it appears that such is a no-no. I continue to learn; though it is an omega that is approaching, as the halcyon days of alpha are now but a distant memory.

Do you not see this is exactly what you are doing to lots of other people? Trying to quieten them, then when they respond you break out "I've made all these lists", implying what you have to say is somehow more valid.

Just had a look on the main Univega and Focus sites, and there just doesn't seem to be much there that entices. The only bike I liked is the Focus bike that Wiggle used to sell, even though most found the logos to be far too in-your-face.
On another note, I had remarked that there were alot of images posted by the OP (sorry about that), could I suggest though, that since posts 1 and 8 replicate each other, and post 19 is the same again, but with more added.....that post 19 be transplanted into post 1? Also, maybe post 30 is similar again to 31, but this may be accidental.

Ashe
both of us have the potential to wind people up, sometimes we do it on purpose, at others its completely unintentional
try and do a kiersey profile test, they are quite informative
i always come up classified as ENTP, so i love a debate and verbal battle, also am not good at dealing with people who emotionally respond to situations
knowing this i can try to compensate for these areas of weakness (at times) but it can also help explain why others find me so difficult
i know you are not a bad man, you have a huge heart, and wish to help and contribute
at times you can be a little misunderstood

Thanks dancing. ;)
You are probably most correct. My last post was only my examination of my first post, that caused some offence. I hadn't actually even realised that there had been any replication of posts, till this morning. I had only been looking at why my first post was so out of line. I guess it was, based on other's reactions, but it was on coincidental that I'd noticed what I had.
Sometimes if one is facing an unpopularity contest (hence the fuckoffanddie tag), I suppose its better just to say nothing.
I am learning.....but slowly. It very hard though to change my instinctive views though. But people will continue to judge me harshly here....like when I challenged edmundane's comment about thieves - then I actually met up with edmundane and give him a rear wheel that I didn't have use for. I don't think I will be understood by my detractors. Those that know me better, well, just know me better.

google the test, its a spinoff from jungian therapy
there are loads online, do 2 or 3 and you should find a consistent trend in the classification it gives you

dancing, I have studied psychology at many levels, including neurophychology and neurophysics. My very first psychology lecturer, in high school in America, deemed me to be a sociopath. She said. "don't worry, they make excellent mass murderers as well as insurance salesmen". God bless Mrs.Jackie Lepper. Best teacher ever in the world.

Can't remember. However, I do think its possible that I won't get the hang of this, and frankly, thats okay. It seems all that is required, is that I either post less, or be less critical, and so strongly opinionated. I will certainly be less confrontational, and pose my views in less full on fashion. Though the process of this may affect my sperm count, and I'm not wishing to stop at three kids. Next girl I have, I may call her James. ;)
Cheers mate. Advice gratefully received.

^That made me giggle.
"could I interest sir in some life insurance?"
