I'm up for "forum records" I don't think I'll set many, but up for it all the same.

Looking to add aero bars to my fixed gear so I can have a go at some time trialing before hopefully building up another bike built specifically for this.
My current frame has a quill stem, are there any special aero bars I need to look out for that'll fit, most of the ones I've looked at are for 31.8.

I think I have some if you need? Profile IIRC

Profil are good, you can also find some Cinelli LA 84 bars too. I used those before moving on to Mavic bars. Still got the set-up in my garage with a set of Profil clip-ons.

That would be fab.

Will do in about an hour!

Right, we have one bar made by PZ Racing apparently...
Bear with... Images coming...

And one more battered Syntace which the previous owner drilled. I wasn't confident.

drilled
Looks more like "pierced". With a blunt instrument.

Yeah. You get the syyntace ones for free when you but the others. Scrap value = £un£reds

Don't see many of these in the wild. Cambridge CC 15 yesterday.

Someone's stolen the knees out of his tights.
-
• #864
No, they've stolen the feet out of his socks :)

The ugly legwear is a handy distraction from the ugly bike.

Is the ‘UCI Approved’ sticker sarcastic? Surely they want 2 triangles and more conservative tube profiles...and probably some rod brakes and all that modern stuff?

Is the ‘UCI Approved’ sticker sarcastic?
Yes, obviously. Zipp stopped making those frames about 20 years before there was such a thing as the UCI frame approval scam.
-
• #868
There's been one of those Zipps on eBay for about a year. It just keeps not selling and getting relisted. It comes up in one of my saved searches every two weeks - SAD!

Excited to get in this gang

Fast AF.
Some how, fixed TT bikes just look rapid. This one especially.
-
• #872
Especially with no chain, cranks, extensions, saddle or a fat fuck sat on top ;)

I’d have defo taken the Zen, need to sort cranks first then I’ll let you know - thanks for the link

Don’t forget the front caliper!

Much faster without.
I have got away with 49 x 18 and a 23 mm tub in the past. Possibly the checker realised I wasn't going to do much of a ride so it didn't matter much (he was right!).
Would it not be worth having forum records? Medium gear records would seem an ideal place to start.
