I talk to myself in my head in Yorkshire accent or Irish brogue. It just sounds better. Seriously.
When I dream, I dream in English with local accents. And usually can't see much, because I always drop my glasses somewhere, so half of my dreams are just a blur... -

it's like that for most Irish people, most of the time.

I'll get the shillelaghs, you round up the leprechauns and we'll kick some arse!

And the petrol bombs, don't forget the petrol bombs
And maybe The Corrs to kill their ears.

i always feel a bit safer stepping up on the curb from road level. If the world would be flooded by lava, i'll live a split second longer than anything on road level.

That's why I ride on the pavement.

Calling us a bunch of wankers?
it was more a reference to being pissed.

wow, that is really freaky.
i used to compulsively count the sides of things. anything, blinds, people's faces. it's awful. i watched a programme on people who are trapped by counting blinds and tiles etc and it scared the shit out of me, so i made a conscious effort to stop. i still sometimes catch myself doing it.
doesn't really compare to syllables tho! freak...I try and cancel out the numbers on old number plates - doesn't work when theres only 2 numbers.
And count and add things...

I got that, I was making an attempt at humour =P

I do something with my throat so I hear a small crack in my ears, like when your ears pop - fuck I'm doing it now

i check things,
mostly: phone, wallet and keys.
like i'll put my keys in my bag and 10 seconds later i'll check they are still there.
Oh snap, I thought that was only me...
-

is this like the thing where blokes have to constantly have their hand in their pants, to check that it's still there? I guess that isn't really a bizarre habit.

pocket pinball?

that's not weird. i always check the "holy trinity" before letting the door shut behind me. wallet, phone and keys. with them in plave you're pretty much always going to be alright i reckon.
i do regularly have to go back and check i actually locked the door though. at least 50% of the time. it's always locked.
weirdly i've left it unlocked quite a few times recently too. but only when i've forced myself NOT to go back.

Does it sound like Cadel Evans?

I like it when I'm driving and it's 5 seconds past 1pm, the speedpmeter in the car reads 70mph, the rev cpunter is at 3500 the fuel tank is 3/4 full, and the temperature gauge is reading half way. THEN, YES THEN ALL OF THE DIALS ARE POINTING EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. Oh God, I think I'm coming...

It like those special moments when you look at your watch and it's exactly 12 0'clock to the second!
Fuck, my life is boring.

Playing video games I have to reload the scene or save every time the character runs when I want him/her to walk from point A to point B. I hate it. And with the analog controls nowadays I have to be pretty damn careful not to take running steps. It was fucking awful playing, for example, Mass Effects.
I have progressed, mind. Back a few years I had to turn consoles off and reload the game if I pressed the wrong button and heard the error sound. Did not matter what the game was, I felt compelled to do so. Had to be in total control or my world would collapse.
And when I write something, one misplaced letter means I have to throw away the paper and start again. (This has lessened with age, but I still feel the pang when the lines don't flow.)
And I wash my hands constantly.

Not a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog then?

I compulsively favour the left hand side of objects or directions of travel.
so i will all ways try and pick something up on its left hand side. Always put stuff in my left pocket. have to pass around an object to the left handside when walking/running. Does have the benefit of making me borderline ambidextrous as im naturally right handed. Led to some unpleasantly dangerous cycling situations when i first started riding road bikes, but i now have my hindbrain under control on the bike.It was caused by fucking tintin in tibet too. My dad read it too me when i was a wee impressionable nipper, and the scene with captain haddock passing round the monument the wrong way seared itself into my young brain. gutted.
