When you allude to the popularity of the Football thread are you referring to the fact that it has more posts on it than any other thread in this whole forum or the fact that a small clique of forum members actively dislike it and seek to provoke trouble with it in any way possible?

Considering the popularity of the football thread, it should be quite evident that claiming "no one cares" is either a sarcastic comment, simply reticules, or possibly a little bit of both, hence I don't understand the alleged aggravation caused by those comments.

I don't think any of those posts of marcom are worthy of reporting. Maybe the 'go fuck yourself' but a quick search turns up about a hundred other "go fuck yourself", which I don't think resulted in anything. The fact it wasn't pooface that reported it makes it seem even more like people are doing it just because they don't like marcom rather than actually being offended.

Having said that I am starting to tire of marcom's posts too.

Would people stop winding marcom up? He contributes a huge amount to this forum which would be far the poorer without him. Sadly he reacts badly to the taunting he receives. Let VB admonish him when appropriate but could others just let him be? If you don't like his stuff, just don't read it or look at it. As a general rule, never click on a marcom link unless you want to be shocked or titillated.
