some people have a specifically online form of autism.
It's caused by online vaccination. -

But it's just pointless. If you proceed I'll keep engaging you like this, and being patient, and hoping you realise the futility of it... and then eventually... a long time into the future I'll just think, fuck it... why be patient if he's not ever going to listen and just wants to argue and fight all the time and couldn't care what anyone says? Then I'll ban you for having trolled the place for months before.
Can't you just ignore him?

• #9679
i heard a rumour that marcom irl is actually a nice guy...
-
• #9680
Yeah he is, you on the other hand are lovely on the Internet but...
-
• #9681
Can't you just ignore him?
I wish.
Unfortunately no. I can't ignore anyone, for then I would never receive reports from them. Which you'd think wasn't an issue, but it would open a legal loop hole in which I become responsible for other people's posts.
So no, I can't ignore anyone.
I could send him to Coventry though.
-

Sorry, I meant the more classical method of ignoring. Read it, if there's anything that might get you in trouble deal with it, then move on. Don't reply.
I believe the phrase I'm looking for is:
Don't feed the troll.(By the way, I mostly like marcom's posts, so I am trying to stop you replying as I think he's less likely to get banned if he doesn't have anything to respond to)
-
• #9683
Largely I do ignore his posts. Largely I ignore everyone's.
But he has been going out of his way to try and make some kind of point that I'm supposed to answer to. Non-comprehension that when I act it's because lots of people report something, and when I don't act that it's because no-one reports something.
At some point I had to address his concerns. Sure it hasn't allayed his worries, and he still thinks there is an injustice that has been done for the times he has been reported and eventually banned for trolling.
Not much I can do. Most people just adapt their behaviour, but it's almost inevitable that if someone doesn't and they're already getting reported that they'll be reported again and again until eventually they get permanently banned. I don't want that either, which is why I keep telling him to modify his behaviour to fit into what the community think is acceptable.

People are oddly repetitive.
All people, not just marcom. People tend to be habitual and repetitive even when confronted by evidence that suggests that it's not the best course of action.
-
• #9685
Prove it!
-
• #9686
You are the most oddly repetitive!! So you get reported with a message!

I saw...
The fact is that there is nothing to report. Just sober up, you and whoever is playing the game of the reporting. If not you will end up through real legal problem.
Stop your FUCKING defamation campaign!
Threatening me with legal action isn't going to change much.
Look at the site rules: https://www.lfgss.com/thread17652.html
And this bit:
We do not allow posts that violate the London Fixed-gear and Single-speed community standards. This include posts that link to hardcore or abuse pornography, other material considered illegal within the United Kingdom or USA or simply considered NSFW (Not Safe For [viewing at] Work)
And this bit:
We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice, restrict the permissions of a user or their ability to access the forum and to ban anyone who violates the forum rules as defined in this post.
It isn't defamation to ask you over and over to not post images of naked women, BDSM, or to at least link to such content clearly indicating that it is NSFW. And I only ask because other people reported your posts.
But as you repeatedly state, you couldn't care what opinions others hold... you are going to carry on regardless.
And if you look at the posts in this thread, the Boring thread, the .gifs thread... it is you playing a game, not I. I keep calmly responding with the same information, if you weren't to post images that the community then report, I would not have to apply the forum rules.
That's it... it's simple.

Considering the few images that I have posted, of art and photojournalism, which no one was hardcore, porn, full nudity, sex atrocity and of course illegal, I feel just pity for you and for the people who have reported and that you covering and using...
But it makes sense why you are representing them.
I hope you keep record of these images. I do.
Plus, it happened a while ago, and I stopped, but for you not having a better argumentation to talk about, being extremely oddly repetitive is probably the best that you can do.
And you just disgust me.
-
• #9689
I'm sure that the reference won't be lost on such an aesthetically liberated mind as yourself
for all of your hiding behind shouts of other peoples 'prudery' you have neglected how abusive you have been in denying people choice in what they view.
That doesn't make you 'enlightened'. It makes you a bully who hides behind the carapace of cultural expression.
that's what you should find disgusting
-
• #9690
I may hide behind cultural expression but I have received more bullying than what I gave back.
I'm also disgusted by short sighted people, among other things, but only when they improvise themselves last minute maestrine.

As in, you hope I bookmark the images? Nope, I do not.
The forum software does keep track of edits to posts and who has reported what. So if you meant in that regard, I do.
And it doesn't matter what the classification is, this isn't an art vs porn debate, the community standard is simply "Did lots of people report this?", and as soon as that happens something has crossed some subjective line and then I go and check it out and enforce the rules if I feel I can comprehend (not necessarily agree) with the views being put forth in the reports.
I don't find nudity or BDSM offensive, and I am my own boss so I hardly have anyone who will mind what is on my monitor at work. But I also don't presume that what works for me will work for everyone... as I keep saying, I remove as much of my own opinion from the process as possible.
Plus, it happened a while ago, and I stopped, but for you not having a better argumentation to talk about, being extremely oddly repetitive is probably the best that you can do.
You did stop, but then you started having little strops a few days ago as if some great injustice has occurred because someone who posted a .gif wasn't dragged through the coals. Regardless of the fact that not a single person reported that image, ergo it falls within the subjective view of acceptability by the community.
And you just disgust me.
Well that's fair enough. I have a cold and my nose is constantly runny, at the moment I disgust myself.

Say that too my face! I dare you!

^^ Now no needs of recommendations, but thanks nonetheless.

It's true. (Not meant as a recommendation to ignore Marco's implicit request of no recommendations, but I'm only just catching up on the thread.)

• #9698
Say that too my face! I dare you!
You know he won't, he knows he might get a hug. No-one can stand that much harmony. :)
-
• #9699
Seriously what up with marcom? he's a fucking bull in a china shop.
-
• #9700
Is there a "Who the hell gives a fuck?" thread? Take it there, if you find one.
