Re-using the same thread will mean anyone searching for info on the old event won't find it, and eventually do that enough and they just all blur together so when you try and find some memorable night... can't be done.

I'd strongly suggest a new thread, but if you insist I'll change the existing one.

For some reason the ladies drinks thread has been an ongoing, evolving one rather than new thread being started but you are right - new thread makes way more sense.

Only about 500 threads to go to thread number 100,000, although the actual number of extant threads is lower than the thread numbering (94,367 when I looked just now). Must be all that merging. :)

When a thread is merged of deleted does the space get filled by a new thread or does the number stay empty?

Number is not re-used - one number redirects you to the other thread. Only sensible option.

Home isn't a forum, clicking the LFGSS logo will do that, and I'm often irritated at having to scroll to the bottom of the page to get to Misc & Meaningless

It's because the images are too large, if you upload a smaller one it should stay as an image.
