Corny, you're missing my point, stating that there are multiple cycle racing threads in a subforum specifically for organising rides and/or discussing racing is a bit like pointing out there are multiple tournament threads in the Bike Polo forum. Those forums were specifically created for precisely what they are being used for. I can understand your annoyance, just not the way you're trying to complain about it.

its all water under the bridge now, but I was just reading the pro-cycling thread and it struck a nerve. For my mind Football is in Miscellaneous and meaningless, so those who want it can find it, those that don't won't, and having more than one thread in the only place that it can exist didn't strike me as any different from having multiple threads about cycle races in the only suitable place they could exist..

Make a football sub forum (in m&m) give them tags back, ban anyone from the sub forum if they make even the slightest infraction, but other than that let them create what they want.

When I finish this new software that's effectively what can happen. But until then nope. Otherwise I'd then have to add forums for other things unrelated to cycling to appease other vocal minorities.
