coud this not be merged. otherwise I'd have no idea how to find the images I'd need, the thread was created so I wouldn't have to trawl through the mass of pages of bike porn to find the specific images/bikes/people required.

So to merge it back into bike porn seems a bit perverse.

There is no unmerge function.

A post only knows one thing about threads, which one it currently belongs to.

It doesn't know which it did belong to, and since the prior thread is deleted it could not know something about a thread which now doesn't exist.

If the purpose was for you, and the book, then that should have been said. But it wasn't said, and it does have a lot of overlap with readers wives, hence the merge.

If every post that should be separate can be identified, then I can split the thread. But the effort to do that would be greater than the effort for you to go through the thread.

Merges are unmergeable, though threads can be split if every post that should go to a new thread is identified.

Velocio it was mentioned in nuknows first post in the thread. Whereby he stated that the thread was designed to find find bikes for the book, and for forum members to submit their suggestions, not their own bikes, but bikes that forum members had built that they thought were porn worthy and could be included in the book.
The thread title had porn in it, and so for that reason it's been lumped in with a thread which is bears no relation to.

Merging seems in this instance to have been used as a weapon of spite or comedy than for any useful purpose of collating similar information.

I did that merge, it was for neither comedy or spite. I looked at the thread titles... vaguely similar purpose... I opened both threads and quickly scanned how the threads were being used... very similar purpose... I hit merge.

We are where we are. The threads have been merged and there is no unmerge function.

If the merge was wrong, then my bad. When I scanned the thread I did so quickly and didn't see the reason it was a separate thread. But there remains no unmerge functionality, so what would you suggest?
