No, the existing software cannot be changed for any reasonable amount of effort.

The aim was to reduce papercuts (annoyances) with the existing stuff before 100% rebuilding everything. As the rebuild will take time, I was removing papercuts first.

Gone altogether at the moment.

They barely broke even, and were increasingly ugly, and when we stood a chance of making money (Red Bull) we just got pissed around which actually means that the time spent cost us money.

That's before we enter into the fact that I've decided that the site should no longer use third party hosted services, including adverts.
