The Renaissance was a bit whiffy.

Smells a bit though.
Are you implying there is a relationship between the forums central antagonist receiving a lengthy ban and some of the favourite sons returning?
-
• #5204
I think that would be confusing correlation with causation. I couldn't give a shit about all that, and have no personal qualms with DJ or his online-life-as-pantomime.
Just had a nice ride with hippy today, and the subject sort of came up (that one needs a break from things from time to time). Got a brief hiatus in other stuff this evening, so why the fuck* not?

Do you just like using the word son as you're a daddy now?
What happened to the hate? You used to be fun.

FINALLY, something we can agree on.

No, just that some of the older folk tend to be a tad wiffy.

^^actually, there was one time.

The whole forum's just been merged into one thread. Result!

We've been rationalized. I knew hippy was up to something today.

Recite 100 times, ye doubters, until Truth or senility wade in.
One thing that has cheered me in amongst all the rubbish recently has been the reappearance of donation stars alongside the names of some of the members of long-standing. A couple of them have posted on this page. I look upon the stars as an endorsement of the forum and its aims - a pledge. I have nothing against those who choose not to of course, but when you're prepared to chuck your hat in with the lot of the forum, then it's like asserting your approval of what it is at that moment. It's good to see that users who have gone through the travails several times over are still willing to do so.
They're also a method of saying; 'This is ours, this place. We believe in it, and support it. We want the best for it'. I don't mean that divisively. All members are responsible for the tone and content of this place. Without people posting it would grind to a halt. That then brings a responsibility to ensure that it moves in a decent direction. It would be preferable if those who don't care for other members simply ignore them, much like you would a thread that doesn't interest you. The forum is a representation of all who populate it, with an ability to be a strangely rewarding experience. There's far better good than bad at work here, which is a mistake to forget.

Too many monochrome avatars on this page.

I had a star, once. Paypal wouldn't let it regenerate. David said he didn't give a fuck.
Monochrome avatars are the new stars. Not film posters. They're rubbish.

• #5216
Too few chainring avatars as well...

It's okay if you get in there first.

I went out for a ride with hippy today. He's still fat. So much for 'moderator'.
He moderates others, not himself.
-
• #5220
It can't have been that undulating.
'Undulating' is hippy's middle name.

• #5221
Can we ban Oliver? He's obviously a trouble maker!

'Jonny "One Forum"' sounds like the name of a villain from 'The Untouchables'. :)
You need to delete your attitude, Object, you rubber-necking ghoul.
