Thanks, I was surprised by how long it took for my post count to reflect that change

  • Yes, what a muppet.

  • I think as the big threads are just responded to a lot and nearly always float around the top of the list. Meaning there's no real need to pin them.

  • Any chance of seeing a return of the old Back to Top button? I understand that changing to Chrome from Safari will bring to the latest comment (instead of the last viewed) but a Back To Top would be welcome for some of the threads with more wordy responses.. Thanks

  • Perfect. Thanks
Hope you are enjoying your 'holiday' ; )

  • ^ +1 please ban this muppet

  • For what, exactly?

  • I'd suggest just responding to everything he posts with an advert for Uber and the download link for Uber.

If we ban him another will follow in due time.

But if his campaign has the effect of acting to reduce his potential market and hurt his pocket... whilst strengthening his competitor. Well who wants to go on a rant and troll when it's directly causing harm to yourself whilst long-term causing harm to your peers?

Additionally... is there not enough identifying info in his video to just expose the muppet? His videos betray his own bad driving as much as anyone else's, TFL might take an interest in those being reported with his taxi number.

Just banning him won't do anything... but we could remove whatever power he thinks he has and weaken his position considerably.

I'm more of the pacify or destroy camp rather than ban and ignore.

  • Ah, I hadn't seen his 'red light' thread. Silly man.

  • I'm not convinced that Uber is the home of considerate driving, all the same.

  • don't ban him, he adds balance against all the anti-car crap spouted here

  • anti-car crap? [citation needed]

are you suggesting this tit represents the balanced, nuanced views of the driving public at-large?

  • Me neither... but black cabs hate Uber... so it's nice to troll the troll.

He's a professional driver, driving daily in London, his opinion is equally valid as yours or mine on an open, London-centric forum. The fact that we might cycle and he might not is secondary. Taxiwarrior's not coming across very well right now, but to ban him would be spiteful and unhelpful.

    We're all in this together.

  • We're all in this together.

    Collective responsibility?

  • We're all in this together.

    True enough, sadly.

    Taxi bike coming together

  • Collective responsibility?

We should encourage input from tipper truck drivers, brewery lorry companies, taxi-meisters, tourist-tuktuk-wranglers et al. Interesting to hear whether @TaxiWarrior tars all cyclists with the same brush, his driving in the lead-up video seems pretty considerate until the incident.

On second thoughts, fuck it, I'm gonna kick the next taxi driver I see in the shins and head back to the memes thread.

  • his driving in the lead-up video seems pretty considerate until the incident.

What? He was purposefully, passive aggressively, moving into the "advisory" bike lane to block cyclists from going past him.

I don't always kick taxi drivers in the shins, but when I do I kick inconsiderate fucks like this.

  • He's a professional driver

Driving for for a living and passing a geography test doesn't make you a professional.

You also appear to be conflating anti-car with anti-people-driving-like-cunts-when-in-charge-of-two-tonnes-of-fast-moving-steel.

  • He's a professional driver, driving daily in London, his opinion is equally valid as yours or mine on an open, London-centric forum.

From the threads he has started, I suggest his sole reason for joining a cycling forum is to troll its members.

He didn't seem to be driving like a cunt from what I saw, he was driving in a normal and fairly considerate manner. He acted like a bit of a cunt face to face with the cyclist, but his driving was just fine. I'd be interested to know what was said during the silent parts of the video though. Though not very interested to be honest.

  • Now you're conflating criticism of a cabby troll with your own "anti-car crap" straw man.

Make your mind up, luv, the meter's running.
