Easily. Anything you post I pretty much interpret as some sly and sarcastic dig at someone unless there it incontrovertible and unambiguous evidence to the contrary. On this one the two words couldn't convey the former, so I figured you were aiming at the latter.

I always read Ed's comments quite literally and without any hint of sarcasm. This is probably why I've never understood a word he has written.

Also to be fair to Scoble I didn't read that as sarcastic either. But I think sometimes his ambiguous grammar doesn't help.

People poke fun at Ed, and he rises to the bait, and plays up to a charicature of himself as a kind of defence mechanism, I think. It's a vicious circle. I've never met him but he seems harmless if slightly obsessive and short sighted at times, traits which I relate to in my own online behaviour.
