  • ...I haven't had a poo for two days... not in too much pain....

  • really? thanks.

I had written with only 10 hours sleep in 3 days. probably not very cohesive and I think i waffled on a bit.

i could have gone on but I was already double the amount of words they asked for!

  • i edited out about 500 words too

  • 38 mph! Ken Boris Barclays big blue bike speed record?

  • nice little forum plug too ;)

  • shame it doesn't link to the forum though, goes to the DD homepage

  • hah good point, didn't click through.

  • ^^^ had to do it. got LOADS of support from here. probably wouldn't have attempted it otherwise

    link doesn't work though. :/

    just noticed:

HA. honoured to be under the tour link

  • shame it doesn't link to the forum though, goes to the DD homepage

as does the shelter from the storm link. Leo can they be fixed? might get some more donations.

  • i'll let them know

  • Forgot to ask on the day, Leo; did you tape over the name because of Barclay's rules about charity rides, or despite them?

  • as does the shelter from the storm link. Leo can they be fixed? might get some more donations.

    links fixed now thanks john

barclay's has rules? no i just didn't want to be rolling advertisement for them.

  • Great writeup Leo. I think the sleep-deprived-ness adds to it!*

  • cheers joel!

  • sorry to anyone who encountered my grumpy self at the end.

    @prancer
I feel your pain actually, even though I wasn't very patient with you at the time (I was already getting inebriated I'm sure you were aware). Nearer the dénouement I started to become (all of a sudden) a bit p'ed off with the other random riders of the DD. It may have been due to the slight detour my last 20 or so miles meant I was in a small group for a lovely finish, then a bit overwhelmed by the mayhem at Dunwich Beach. Was VERY glad to have a few quiet moments at the pub before lots of people realised it was open.

Also, whilst we're apologising, I want to say sorry to the two fellers who came and sat with us around 7am, like james I was a little fragile and I ended up being a little brusque with you, wasn't in the mood for new people.

  • Who was on a blue pompino with the whizzy freewheel?

this could have been me. however i rode fixed. here she is on the beach.

I found you quite charming sir! Looks like an Adnams and a full-english had sorted you out - offer to steal guard my bike also much appreciated :)

  • @econodog good write up sir! have the pics for you but you probably dont need them now!
