My options this year, realistically, were do it on the silly fixed with silly wheels and coach back, or be sensible and do it on the geared bike so the option of riding back is feasible. With the wind and the weather, novelty wheels aren't really an option and I don't want to be stuck grinding back home into a headwind so I've finally decided to do it on the geared bike. Fixed next year though, honest.
Sandwiches prepared, cakes a-plenty ready for consumption, lights charging, I'm almost ready for this... -

Just got home after a few beers and decided to service my bike for tomorrow/today. Headset bottom race is a bit rusty and bottom bracket is looking very worn. Not sure why I removed the chainring but I'm sure I can put it back together when I get up. See peeps at the start, I will probably bring Rammie with me as he gets lonely if I leave him behind.

what? you guys are going to track people like spies and shit? I think I'm not really getting the full potential of my smartphone. Could I be using to find tonight's route? Are there phone lessons I could take?
I think the guys with the dogs are lovely. I really hope to meet them. Me and my mrs just cried soppily awwwwww when we saw that picture.
Jaitch and Katiecoo THANKYOU for all your work. And David K. Really much appreciated! Hats off.

jaitch, I hope latitude works better than last year. Half the people never moved off London Fields (iphones I think) and most of the rest never seemed to be anywhere near the route.

Morning all. Bike prep and eating going on here in SW18. Then some lazy sofa time and a good ole afternoon nap in prep for this eve.
Can one of the Southies PM me about the Brockwell Pk meet - its prob a little earlier than I'd like to be heading east but might join you for the ride. Cheers.
Looks like the rain is going to ease off about 7ish: perfect.

Im out, I just finished work and have my in-laws coming around in about an 1hr so I have no hope of sleep. Doing the DD brakeless in the wet with no sleep for 48hrs is a little bit too ambitious (idiotic) for me.
Have fun everyone.

I am trying to stay awake, with some documentary about a chap called "David Guetta" on in the background. He is confusing me, as I understand he is popular but I can't work out why. He seems to be some kind of simpleton.
