2.0" on the front, 1.75 Smart Sam on the back below
Thanks for the info! However, looking back on this, those kinda sizes seem far too big for this frameset. I'll just pick up some Knards and leave huge tyres for another bike.
Any reasons not to go for the Knards over similar cross tyres?

I am currently running 28c duranos on a pinnacle arkose one and I want to get a lowrider rack.
What's the most popular lowrider rack?
Would increasing the tyre size be a wise idea? -
• #9654
I don't think you need to worry about tyres size, the Tubus is generally the best for the money.

Reasons not to get them: you ride in a lot of really muddy places, want gumwalls, can get the ~equally sized WTB Nanos/Clement X'PLOR/Conti X kings/?? cheaper or you care about UCI cross rules...

who makes a nice gum wall largish tyre similar to the knards?
-
• #9657
Bruce Gordon Rock and Road... nice but pricey.
-
• #9658
that was bloody quick! thanks!
-

Soma Cazadero too! Not sure if nice, still pricey.
-
• #9660
yes they are a little pricey. anything else?
-
• #9661
yeah those Soma's are exactly what I want. off/on road perfection.

Nice, thanks!

I think you're after bigger and tan wall but have to say my Conti cyclocross speed seem good. Roll quickly on road at 85 and really grippy off road at 40-50

Clement X´Plor MSO, same principle but not gumwall
vanity ->
Cazadero here if you want to buy online http://www.singlespeed.nl/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=35_24_134&products_id=1903

Does anyone know what bars these are?
https://www.alpkit.com/spotlight/tuscany-trail-kit-listI thought they were wood chippers but I'm not so sure.
-
• #9668
I rate the Clements highly, had them about 20 months and they're great for all manor of surfaces
-
• #9669
Yep, rolling on xplor MSO and they're sweet.
-
• #9670
Look like Woodchippers to me

I find the midge far too wide and the drop part not really big enough to be useful. I may have just been using them wrong though! I'd like to try something with a normal width and flared drops at some point, I could just never get comfortable with the midge, the hoods position always felt odd.

Salsa cowbell! You may never need another bar.
-

These really require a tall head tube/high-rise stem/oodles of spacers to work as intended.
Cowbell is a much more versatile bar for most bikes.
No mate, getting a 54. You interested in a 56cm 2014 stainless by any chance?
I'm glad you think the orange is subtle... I guess if noone knows a cheaper offer I'll go for it, get it painted black when the orange is chipped enought to justify it.
edit, this is winnifred by the way, logged in on another computer. counldn't be arsed logging out and in again.
