Functional bikes. Not Porn not Anti

Having had to lift a bike with a frame pump I'd quite appreciate a 2nd toptube.

I'd probably have the pump on the seat stay instead, especially when you're tall enough.

I thought they were for stiffness on larger sizes?

You know, so you can have a tall headtube without people moaning. ;-)

I would think so, except that it shouldn't have to kick in till you start building for the likes of Yao Ming.

I bought the Park frame pump specifically because I have no pegs etc anywhere. It works really well when it's left to do it's job but does really get in the way when I have to lift the bike.

A shorter pump could fit behind the seat-tube or infront of it if I ditched a bottle cage but the Park is too long for that even in it's shortest setting. If I need to lift the bike I usually just mount it on top of the top tube. Work almost as well there as underneath.

why would anyone ever want a full size pump, when the mini ones do just as well?

Make a lots of sense, running 30/46 the easy way (abet ugly).

This article convinced me to put centre pulls on a touring tandem - so far it has always stopped!
