  • that is fucking beautiful!

  • Is there an alternative to the klik fix handlebar mount for a carradice super c bag? I've only used it for touring but thought it was absolutely crap, it kept slipping every time I hit a bump, no matter how much I tightened it up.

  • Does it have a sort of extension that sits under your stem to prevent that? I have a bar bag with a bracket that does but I have no idea if it's compatible with a Carradice.

  • Did you put electric tape on the bar? Do you also have the wire that prevent it from slipping down?

  • ^^ no and no.... Top tips, thanks. Might cotton bar tape work better? Bit grippier maybe. While I'm here, any tips for front mudguards that will fit a bike with small clearances? And Doppelkorn, no it doesn't.

  • Did you put electric tape on the bar? Do you also have the wire that prevent it from slipping down?

  • See the post above yours, ha ha. Both good tips so thanks! I'll try that and see how I get on. How does the wire work? As in where does it attach to the bag. Mine is second hand and I didn't even realise it was meant to come with a wire.

  • My phone was playing up and send twice for some reason.

    Look at the stem - see the wire looping underneath it preventing it from sliding down;

I went touring with the Klick-fix, the only issue is that the Carradice Super C bag sag a bit after a while, not a very strong bag despite being tough.

  • Ah, got it, cheers! I'll try and bodge something similar.

  • While I'm here, any tips for front mudguards that will fit a bike with small clearances?

Crud road racers fit even with tight clearances. not for wide tires though..

  • Looks ideal, my tyres are only 25mm so should be fine. If anyone has a front for sale, hit me up!

  • ...not sure you'll get cruds over 25s.

  • O ) vs o)
As long as you have vertical clearance it'll work, just not ideally in terms of overspray.

  • If I can pick a front up cheap I'll give it a go, trying to avoid half a 2 litre coke bottle cable tied to the downtube!

  • I've just fitted a customer bike with 25mm tyres, it's tight but doable.

  • Turns out they're 23 anyway! I have no idea why I thought otherwise....

  • Does anyone have any recommendations of large saddle bags, asides from the apidura, revelate or alpkit ones. I'm after that sort of style, rather than Carradice:

And does anyone have one of those, or any other brand for sale?

  • I use this one from Bikepack

  • Is bikepack down or is it just me? Really want one of their saddlebags.
